Introducing Meridian Flow Acupuncture

For many centuries Japanese Healing Arts have been used to address root causes of many diseases, restore balance and maintain overall health. Acupuncture is a branch of medicine practiced worldwide both as a primary and adjunctive treatment for a wide range of health conditions.
What is Japanese style acupuncture? This style of acupuncture differs to other styles because of the thinness of the pin (1/3 thickness of dry needling and Chinese style needles), and the elegant handwork involved in this ancient therapy.
The Practice and Art of Japanese Acupuncture has taken on characteristics that make this therapy different to other styles of acupuncture. These include a strong emphasis on palpation, sensory awareness of Ki arrival, root and branch approaches to the treatment and the use of direct moxa in its different forms. There are many styles of acupuncture practiced in Japan. Out of these many styles, there are three major styles Traditional Japanese Acupuncture & Moxibustion (which includes Meridian Flow Therapy), Modern Japanese Acupuncture and Moxibustion ( Which uses biomedical diagnosis to determine point selection and treatment), and TCM based Japanese Acupuncture and Moxibustion (Chinese Medicine style Acupuncture practiced in Japan).
The treatment you recieve is very nurturing. The careful attention to detail and exquisite needle techniques used in treatment is considered by many to be wonderfully relaxing, therapeutic and purposeful.

Fertility and IVF
Diane also uses her years of experience in the field of Fertility to help couples understand their fertile rhythm and become empowered and confident in using Natural Fertility Management to achieve conception- or to use this knowledge for contraception purposes. The advantages for undertaking the Natural Fertility Management program are many. Both partners develop self sufficiency and awareness of their own bodies and the planning becomes a shared responsibility. There are no harmful side effects with the preconception program, it is reliable and effective. Pre conception care is true preventative medicine . It can also be used as a treatment for fertility problems and not only for the creation of truly healthy babies.
For those on the IVF path- comprehensive studies have shown that by recieving the right acupuncture support, the chances of success within an IVF cycle is greatly improved. Acupuncture- when done well and with a good understanding of the medical processes involved in IVF ,is a safe and useful tool that couples can use to improve their sucess rate .
**Appointment times are to be as close as possible to the actual transfer time (usually within 24 hours before and after your transfer for maximum benefit) and are usually given on the same day. IVF acupuncture support treatments cost $170 for the two treatments- pre and post transfer.**
This success may be even more enhanced when the couple include the Preconception Wellness program before the IVF attempts are made.
Preconception Wellness Program Initial Consultation
2 hours - $ 200 in total. (both partners to attend).
Follow up Consultation (3-4 weeks after the Initial Consultation)
1 1/2 hours - $ 150 in total. (both partners to attend).
