Dr. Megan Azer - Chiropractor

As a Chiropractor, Megan’s goal is to care for your spine and your nervous system. A healthy nervous system is essential to enable our bodies to adapt to the physical, chemical and emotional stresses of life. Malfunction or restriction of the joints of our spine, pelvis or skull (subluxations) can interfere with the transmission of information through our nervous system, resulting in a reduction in overall health and wellbeing and a diminished ability to combat disease.
Chiropractic is a natural system of wellness care that aims to address the root cause of ill health rather than simply treating the symptoms. By adjusting the spine and removing interference to the nervous system, it allows the body to heal itself. Regular chiropractic care maximizes our enjoyment and fulfillment of life!

Megan utilises a diverse variety of techniques, which are tailored to your needs; which are very safe, specific and gentle. These include low force techniques such as Activator, Blocks, and Soft Tissue work (massage) which provides a more gentle approach, as well as gentle manual adjustment techniques. Working with this range of techniques enables Megan to achieve the best results for you and also make you feel comfortable with your adjustments.

Megan also specialises in Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET). NET is a dynamic muscle testing system which identifies and alleviates the internal stressors that are creating barriers to health and success. Emotions are part of the natural, healthy response process that we have to virtually every situation we encounter. However, sometimes challenging emotional experiences and physical vulnerabilities create lingering stress in our mind-body architecture. Such stresses can contribute to physical complaints, emotional difficulties and problems with goal achievements. Megan uses NET to identify, and help you let go of, “stuck” emotional patterns. NET is a safe, effective and natural way to instantly resolve long-standing health problems that have an emotional component.

Megan believes strongly that the body has the ability to heal itself. Through Chiropractic care, providing structural correction and her new found passion of Neuro-Emotional Technique, Megan is confident in providing holistic health care – physically, chemically and emotionally.
Megan’s motivating drive comes from seeing patients improve; becoming happier and healthier. She is proud to be a part of the healthcare journey with her patients.

What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?

Chiropractic adjustment is the skill of using a specific force in a precise direction, applied to a joint that is not functioning correctly. This adds motion to the joint, helping the joints to gradually regain more normal motion and function. The purpose of this safe and natural procedure is to permit improved spinal function, improved nervous system function, and improved health. There are many ways to adjust the spine. Usually the chiropractor's hands or a specially designed instrument delivers a brief and highly-accurate thrust. Megan will adapt her techniques to your individual needs.

How long will it take to improve?

There is no definite answer to that question since every case is different. Megan has treated numerous other patients with similar problems, and in many cases will be able to give you an estimate of the time it will take to expect results. How long it will take to “get well” or improve depends on many factors such as lifestyle, weight, age, and how long the condition has been present. Other factors such as living habits, occupation, and genetics may also play a role. Spinal problems, neglected since early childhood, may require ongoing supportive care for optimum spinal function. These long-standing problems are often associated with muscle weakness, soft tissue damage, and degenerative changes to the spine. Most patients find that periodic chiropractic checkups help keep them in tip-top shape. Those who are active, have stressful jobs, or want to be their very best, find that a schedule of preventative visits are helpful in the maintenance of good health. Megan will suggest an individualised program designed to help your recovery in the shortest possible time, as well as offering home care to help you maintain your spinal health. How long you decide to benefit from chiropractic care is always up to you.
