Welcome to easykineasy!
Kinesiology is a system for reading the imprint that life has left on our bodies and clearing what is no longer working to our best advantage.
"Our body records our life experiences like the rings of a tree year after year. Thoughts, feelings, physical patterns and conditioning...some of these recordings serve us well. Some keep us trapped in habitual responses that no longer benefit us."
Through gentle muscle testing it identifies body memory that is impeding function physically, mentally and energetically. It then draws on a vast range of eastern and western therapeutic techniques to restore natural balance and function.
You will feel stronger, clearer, lighter, healthier...inspired to ride the journey of life in line with your true purpose.

How does Kinesiology Work?
Through muscle testing Kinesiology assesses how stress is affecting the body. This stress can stem from a multitude of factors:- Muscular imbalances
- Dysfunctional tissue repair after injury
- Nutritional deficiencies and excesses
- Unresolved emotional issues
- Interference with brain integration
- Blockages in energy lines -meridians or energy centres - chakras
- Disconnection from one’s spirit
Muscles will unlock in relation to the source of stress and when that stress is identified and cleared the muscle’s integrity returns to normal.
Various energy lines or meridians run through or in the vicinity of different muscle groups. These meridians flow internally to our various organ systems. For this reason muscle testing can give a visual and kinaesthetic read-out of the energetic function of our internal organs. It is through this interface that kinesiology methodology is closely linked with Traditional Chinese Medicine theory.

Treatment
Treatment uses acupressure, neuro-lymphatic and neuro-vascular points, as well as massage, emotional clearances, visual imagery, colour balancing, nutritional corrections and flower essences.
It is a holistic approach to healthcare so some change in lifestyle – be it thought patterns, emotional responses, dietary habits, exercise, brain integration or stress relieving techniques are suggested where appropriate for homework.

Easykineasy Kids :)
Brain gym is a branch of kinesiology which has been introduced in different forms in schools. It uses various techniques to activate both hemispheres of the brain through physical action to bring them into optimum communication.
Easykineasy expands on these concepts through holistically treating your kids in a gentle, fun and informative way. Childrens bodies and minds respond very quickly to energetic corrections applied in kinesiology with instant results.
You’ll notice improvements in co-ordination, communication, behaviour, sleeping patterns, digestion, niggly pains (like tummy aches or headaches), skin conditions, confidence and enthusiasm for life.

About Your Practitioner
I’ve been studying and practicing kinesiology since 2002, but my journey exploring the link between body, mind and spirit began long before that. As a young dancer in training I first began consciously exploring the relationship between mind and body after an intense bout of stage fright. This exploration led me through physical realms of Pilates, Alexander technique, Contact Improvisation, and more metaphysical explorations involving sports psychology, yoga, meditation, Ideokinesis and Feldenkrais.
I worked as a professional dancer for 12 years performing at an elite level with 2 of Australia’s leading contemporary dance companies. Dance for me was a great challenge of body, mind and emotional expression that had me constantly exploring how different levels of ourselves interplay and affect our creativity, sense of wellbeing and expression within relationships. I discovered kinesiology whilst still performing and used it to manage an intense physical workload, jet-lag while touring, ailments that arose and a journey of personal and artistic development.
I began practicing on others while still performing full-time and soon my passion for kinesiology and how it could transform people’s lives was ignited. During 2006 an injury brought an end to my performance career and called for a personal exploration of health and healing that has deepened my compassion and sensitivity in working with others.
Since publicly opening "easykineasy" from Paddington, Brisbane in 2008, I’ve been completing a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture and further expanding my knowledge and understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I’m really excited about the future of holistic healthcare and am a firm believer that our bodies/ beings carry a vast and innate intelligence and a fundamental capacity to heal.
In a current world situation where climate change and the health of our planet is in question, beginning with balancing our own microcosm – our self - is one big step. Living in balance within ourselves, knowing our needs and meeting them, living in tune with the environment around us and with a sense of connection to our wider community is a start to healing on a more global level.
As Ghandi said:
"Be the change you wish to see in the world"
May your journey of understanding be passionate, courageous and invigorating. I look forward to the meeting of our paths.
Until then..."Take it easykineasy" :)
