Acupressure: Acupressure is one of the oldest and most widespread healing methods in the world. Acupuncture-Chinese: Acupuncture is an ancient system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that has been used for thousands of years. A natural form of healing, it is a safe and increasing mode of healthcare for a wide range of conditions. There is no forceful manipulation, just a light maneuvering of the muscle, tendons or ligaments. The Bowen Technique is a cross fibre muscle release technique that balances and stimulates energy flows, resulting in a deep sense of overall relaxation. There are regular pauses between the series of gentle moves to give the body the required time to allow the body to reset and heal itself. Cranial Sacral Therapy: Cranial Sacral Therapy is a technique based on Cranial Osteopathy. Cranial Sacral Therapy seeks to restore the natural rhythmic movement found between the bones of the skull. It does the same for the movements of the sacrum. The purpose of this is to aid the circulation of the cerebrospinal fluid throughout the central nervous system. By gently working with the spine, the skull and its cranial sutures, diaphragms, and fascia, the restrictions of nerve passages are said to be eased, the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal cord can be optimized, and misaligned bones are said to be restored to their proper position. Cupping: Cupping is the treatment of disease by suction of the skin surface. A vacuum is created in glass cups which are then attached to the body surface. Distant Healing: This process begins with the therapist being told of the person concerned requiring healing. This may be someone they know or themselves. Once the healing process has been activated it continues until the client has improved to the point of feeling what has changed or feels different. The client then advises the therapist so that the work can progress. Massage - Hot Stone: A hot stone massage uses heated stones to massage the body. The hardness of the stones allows the therapist to address specific problem areas with more detailed work or deeper pressure. Massage - Japanese Shiatsu: is a traditional hands-on Japanese healing therapy that has been formulated over the last 100 years from the traditional Japanese amma massage which is a feel good, therapeutic massage. Shiatsu literally means finger pressure and as such describes part of the therapy whereby natural body weight (finger, thumbs, elbows, forearms, feet and knees) is used in applying pressure to special points on the body. This form of bodywork is usually performed on the floor, and the client wears comfortable clothes that allow for movement. No oils are used in Thai massage. $85 / hr
Massage - Trigger Point Therapy: Trigger points are located in a taut band of muscles fibers. The trigger point is the most tender point in the band. A trigger point is a hyperirritable spot that is painful. It is called a trigger point because it "triggers" a painful response. It is more than a tender nodule. It affects not only the muscle where the trigger point is located, but also causes "referred pain" in tissues supplied by nerves. Shiatsu: is a traditional hands-on Japanese healing therapy that has been formulated over the last 100 years from the traditional Japanese amma massage which is a feel good, therapeutic massage. Shiatsu literally means finger pressure and as such describes part of the therapy whereby natural body weight (finger, thumbs, elbows, forearms, feet and knees) is used in applying pressure to special points on the body. Shiatsu is a clothed form of bodywork, given on a futon that is relaxing, preventative and remedial all in one. Its treatment of the body enhances your mental and emotional wellbeing. MEDITATION is held every Wednesday evening with Dharmavanam Saraswati (Dharma) between 7.30pm - 8.45pm for groups of 8-12 people. Dharma has been practising Yoga and Meditation since 1989, and been teaching them since 1996.
Dharma underwent extensive yogic, meditation and sannyasa training in Australia and India, trained both in the Satyananda System of Yoga, SA Institute of Yoga Teachers and in the Mahayana Tibetan Buddhist Tradition. He has successfully run yoga centres throughout Australia, South Africa, Spain, Italy and Wales and has taught yoga and meditation in many areas of society including in schools, corporates, aboriginal health, drug and alcohol rehabilitation. His classes embody a complete yogic-meditation experience taught in an inspiring, warm and clear manner with an underlying vision of yoga as a way of life. GOLDEN LIGHT DEVELOPMENT CIRCLE is held every Thursday night 8pm-10pm. This circle is for both beginners and those already on the path of developing their mediumship ability. Learn about the different kinds of mediumship and, in a safe and lovingly supportive environment, develop your connection with Spirit, and your personal Spirit Guides.
Circle Leader Sharon, and her spirit guides can answer questions you might have about developing, including questions about what you might have already experienced.
