Finding out that you are pregnant can be a bit of an emotional roller coaster. You may be feeling excited, anxious, happy and overwhelmed all at the same time. Many women wonder how they will cope with pregnancy never mind caring for a newborn. Don’t worry it is normal to have these feelings.
Along with all the excitement of pregnancy can come some unwanted symptoms like nausea or back pain. These symptoms are very common during pregnancy and acupuncture is a safe treatment that has been used for over 2000 years to alleviate these conditions during pregnancy, labour and postpartum.

I've found Emma's gentle acupuncture so supportive in getting me through weeks 6-13 of my pregnancy. I had severe nausea and anxiety. I've never had acupuncture before and had no idea that it was so effective...Thanks so much! (GP, Chatswood, 2013)
At 37 weeks pregnant I received a beautiful acupuncture treatment from Emma today. I left feeling relaxed and uplifted. The treatment helped with centering and relaxing all the anxieties around my up and coming birth. It also greatly reduced the swelling in my hands and feet. The night after the treatment I actually felt my bub drop into the lower pelvis! Pretty fantastic! Emma, you and your magical pins are a dream! Thanks you for all your wonderful treatments and helpful advice you've given me over the course of my pregnancy. (Bel Llyod, 2013)
I had a breech baby and went to see Emma for acupuncture at 38 weeks. She gave me a relaxing treatment and sent me home with some moxibustion sticks which my partner held over a special acupuncture point to get the baby to turn into an ideal downward position naturally. After five days the baby did that! I was due to have an exterior cephalic (ECV) the following day, which has associated risks, and I was overjoyed that this procedure was no longer necessary. I will always be grateful that she turned in the last week! I had one more acupuncture treatment and then had a natural, efficient delivery that didn’t require any interventions at 40 weeks. Thanks for all you help and positivity the recovery is going well.’

After 5 years of trying to conceive I am finally 27 weeks pregnant with IVF twin girls! Part of what allowed this miracle to happen was seeing Emma for weekly acupuncture sessions, for the last 4 months, as well as discussing relevant health issues and making needed lifestyle changes according to Emma’s knowledge on fertility. I am continuing with these sessions until birth and believe it is an important component to a successful pregnancy and delivery in December. Thanks Emma! Louise Victor (Solicitor, Sydney 2012)
After trying to fall pregnant for 18 months, I commenced weekly session of acupuncture with Emma with the plan to start IVF within 6 months if we could not fall pregnant naturally. With Emma's knowledge of fertility and acupuncture, this helped me makes the changes I needed to my lifestyle to assist in a natural pregnancy. After 5 months of seeing Emma, we successfully fell pregnant one month shy of staring IVF. We have now been blessed with a beautiful baby girl Harper, born this August.

Emma supported me through my first pregnancy, significantly reducing my heinous morning sickness and anxiety. Later in the pregnancy the acupuncture helped to reduce my hip & calf pain. I went on to have a natural birth at 40+2 weeks & a healthy baby boy named, Hunter.
