About Estera Taylor
Estera is a naturopath who follows the “natural path”. She has had extensive experience having worked with a wide spectrum of people through diverse fields and careers. Estera is dedicated to helping people with their health and wellbeing assisting them reach their optimum state of wellness.
Past and current clients often state “how nice it is to find a naturopath who can not only provide successful advice and treatment but one who does so with passion and one that obviously follows her own advice”. In addition to operating her clinic, Estera has taught Nutrition, Dietetics and Herbal Medicine to complimentary medicine students at Adelaide's leading Natural Therapies Colleges and currently lectures on a range of health issues at the WEA and for variety of community and corporate groups.

What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a philosophy of wellness. A naturopath works on the basis that your body, thoughts and emotions are closely related, and anything which affects one part of your well being will also affect other parts of the individual.
A naturopath works on the philosophy that your body knows how to heal itself, so treatment aims are to support the body in its healing process. The naturopath’s role is to help you understand why your body gets sick and to educate you in maintaining your health and well being.
Herbal Medicine
Herbal Medicine is still the first choice in many cultures, being successfully used for thousands of years. It involves using plant-based medicine to heal the body. A formula may be made that will suit your individual needs, and is free of side effects when professionally prescribed.
Herbal formulations are available in liquid, tablet, capsules, teas and creams. The Herbal formulations are of the highest quality and standards and are approved by the Therapeutic Goods Act (TGA). The clinic obtains its professional range of herbal medicine products from several of Australia’s leading and reputable practitioner companies such as Mediherb, The Herbal Extract Company, Phytomedicine and SunHerbal.

Supplements prescribed and administered by a naturopath are of the highest quality and standard and are ‘practitioner strength’ sold only to HealthCare practitioners for prescription.
Homeopathy
Homeopathy works on the deepest layers of the “self”. With the philosophy of “like cures like” it is believed that substances producing symptoms in the healthy will ease the same symptoms in the ill.
Homoeopathic medicines are components made by homoeopathic pharmacies consisting of plants, minerals and animal extracts. Remedies (usually in liquid, tablet, pillules, sprays and creams) are prescribed in accordance with the patient’s symptoms and health conditions while individual characteristics such as emotions and physical condition are also taken into account.
Homeopathy can be very effective especially where there are issues of compliancy and safety with pharmaceutical medicines making it ideal for babies, children, pregnant women and the elderly.
Iridology / Iris Analysis
A useful tool for identifying “problem areas” in the body. Examination of the iris allows the naturopath to understand the state of the body’s organs and tissues and any problems you may be predisposed to.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy involves the application of essential oils and can be applied in many ways such as Therapeutic Massage improving circulation and relieving muscle tension and pain whilst reducing stress helping to balance the client in mind, body and spirit. The therapeutic effect may be enhanced by Reiki during the client’s massage treatment.

Gentle vibrational therapies designed to aid in coping with day to day stresses and balancing the emotional health and well being of the client. An individual blend using Australian Bush Flower Essences may be formulated by the naturopath for the client dependant upon how you are feeling and what aspects of your life you wish to address. The clinic stocks both Bach Flower Essences and Australian Bush Flower Essences.

What You Can Expect At Your Naturopathic Consultation
- The initial consultation will take one to one and a half hours and consists of a comprehensive case history. This includes an in-depth look at past and present health and medical issues as well as your current diet, stress and lifestyle habits.
- Please bring any medications (natural or prescription as well as over the counter) that you are currently taking in addition to any recent medical tests.
- Diagnostic procedures may include blood pressure and pulse checks, zinc level test, urinalysis, tongue and nail analysis and Iridology is carried out where appropriate. Further pathology testing may be recommended.
- A personalised treatment plan will be tailored to your individual needs incorporating dietary, nutritional and lifestyle modifications. Natural remedies such as herbs, supplements, homeopathics, flower essences or essential oils may be recommended to facilitate this process. The client’s preferences and budget is taken into consideration throughout.
- All information disclosed is kept strictly confidential and we work together to prioritise your needs and set achievable goals. Client education and support is an integral part of the treatment and allows the client to take greater responsibility for their future health.
- Follow-up visits at agreed intervals allow assessment of progress and adjustment of the treatment plan as required. (Allow half to one hour for subsequent visits.)
