Welcome to Excellent Massage
Excellent Massage operates out of its Warriewood clinic and also provides a mobile massage service for remedial massage, sporting events and emergencies. Managing Director Len Groen is a fully trained sport, soft tissue therapist and holds diplomas in remedial massage, sports therapy and is a level 2 sports trainer member of Sports Medicine Australia. Len and his employees abide by the Australian Traditional -Medicine Society code of ethics to provide the highest quality service to those who require body maintenance and pre-sport or post-sport massage therapy.
Sport Massage
- Pre-Sport Massage Treatment: This treatment is designed to prepare you for action. It can simply involve increasing blood flow to the muscles in conjunction with Passive or Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (contract/relax) assisted stretching.
- Post Sport Massage Treatment: The quicker you are on the table following your competition event the more effective the results. This treatment is designed to rid the body of by-products resulting from the muscle energy cycle.
- Massage Body Maintenance: By far the most effective method of keeping your body ready for sport is to have regular massages. It is important to maintain suppleness, flexibility within the muscle chain and balance within the joint/muscle mechanism.
Remedial Massage
An effective Remedial treatment begins by identifying the imbalances in the body's soft tissue chain which are causing pain or discomfort. Excellent Massage adopts a holistic approach to solving the problems and uses trigger point therapy, deep tissue therapy, myofascial release and muscle energy techniques to balance the body and bring relief or correction to the affected area. Remedial massage can help correct poor posture, bring relief and assist with the healing of soft tissue injuries, and when used in conjunction with corrective exercise on an ongoing basis, remedial massage plays a major role in the rehabilitation of overall soft tissue balance.
