Lymphatic drainage
Lymphatic drainage massage therapy combines gentle pressure with soft pumping movements in the direction of the lymph nodes in the body.
Lymphatic drainage massage pressure is usually much lighter than other forms of massage therapy. The movements are generally slower also.
Lymphatic drainage massage therapy is performed using the pads of the fingers and thumbs and/or the palms of the hands. Pressing rhythmically with fingertips and hands to increase and decrease the pressure to create the suction and pumping effect which mimics the natural action of the body in relation to this system.
Great for detoxing and reduction of swollen limbs. Sliding cups can also be utilised in this treatment.

Myofacial Dry Needling
•Myofascial Dry Needling - What Is It?
Myofascial Dry Needling is a treatment approach adapted from acupuncture that applies fine needles to the musculoskeletal system to deactivate trigger points.
Myofascial dry needling is used in the treatment of chronic pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia and back pain.
Some experts in the industry beleive that myofascial dry needling is more effective in treating chronic back pain than commonly employed manual therapies.
In my clinical experience, it often yields dramatic results where other manual methods have not.
Dry needling can increase power output in functional muscle for everyday and sports specific purposes, remove trigger point referral pain e.g. migraines and tension disorders such as jaw clenching and muscle imbalances.
In contrast, acupuncture is based on thousands of years of clinical observation and involves a systemic approach to the diagnosis and treatment of disharmonies within the body.
Myofascial dry needling is primarily focused on musculoskeletal injuries and, as such, is utilized as a specialist tool to accompany soft tissue skills.

Staff Profile: Daniel Isaacs
Daniel Isaacs is owner & founder of Fusion Body Therapy.
Daniel has a Fitness Leaders Certificate and Advanced Certificate in Health, Fitness & Sports Coaching.
Daniel has worked extensively throughout Sydney in the fitness industry for 15 years. Having his own personal training business focusing on training clients as an exercise specialist and focusing on getting the best results for them.
Daniel has a long background in Mixed Martial Arts and is a Chi' meditation instructor, he has studied, practiced and instructed Japanese Jui- Jitsu, Kung fu, Boxing, Kick boxing (& Muay Thai Boxing), Karate,Brazillian Jui- Jitsu & MMA.
In 2001 - 2003 Daniel studied Remedial Sports Massage therapy, after which he embraced and regularly applied trigger point therapy with the most effective results. This naturally led to his further exploration of similar treatments.
Daniel has since completed post graduate study in Traditional Eastern Cupping and Myo-fascial Dry Needling to complement his skills and knowledge base. Daniel's approach in treating clients is “structural alignment with a soft tissue approach” which is similar to structural integrity practitioners such as osteopaths.
Daniel utilises Myo-fascial Trigger Point Therapy, Myo-fascial Dry Needling, Advanced Stretching Techniques, Counter Strain Techniques, Cranial-Sacral Techniques, Traditional Eastern Cupping and adapted contemporary cupping techniques, Swedish and Shiatsu Massage, (Remedial) soft tissue, deep tissue and connective tissue manipulation, lymphatic drainage, neuromuscular techniques, corrective exercise & reflex stimulation to achieve the best outcome for his clients.
Daniel spent the first few years of his massage career in the Sutherland Shire and then in 2006 briefly taking a position in a clinic in Balmain whilst also having a Massage clinic of his own situated within Medifit Fitness Centre on the Qantas Jet Base at the Sydney airport between 2002 and 2007. In 2007 he started with Shamballa Day Spa in Mosman when it opened it's doors for the first time and durring the 2 and a half years he has was in high demand; clients often booking weeks ahead for treatments from him at Shamballa.
Daniel is currently working exclusivley mobile around Sydney and looking to open a new clinic in 2011.
Daniel's clients have come to him predominantly through recommendation, his corporate clients include the entertainment industry; for the past five years working as the official massage therapist to the Sydney Theatre Company on a weekly basis and during some Performances.
