An Integrated Approach
With a broad international background in nursing, natural therapies and whole foods, Leah brings a powerful mix of tools and understanding to her clients. As a homoeopathic practitioner, Leah benefits from her medical background which allows her to evaluate symptoms that require a medical referral to the GP and those that would benefit from Homeopathy.
Leah very strongly believes that no patient has to choose between homeopathic and conventional medicine. Homoeopathic remedies are easily integrated with conventional medicine and can be taken along with medications or other treatments.

What is Homoeopathy & How does it Work?
Homoeopathy is an effective system of healing which assists the natural tendency of the body to heal itself. It recognises that symptoms of ill health are expressions of disharmony within the whole person and that it is the patient who needs treatment not the disease.
Homoeopathy is based on the philosophy that the body, mind and emotions are not separate and distinct, but are fully integrated. Homoeopathy is based on the principle of the 'law of similars' or "like cures like". A homoeopath seeks a remedy that fits all of a patient's physical and psychological symptoms and therefore leads to an increase in the person's "vital force" or vitality.
Homoeopathy is acknowledged by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and is used by millions of people worldwide. The WHO stated: "Homoeopathy should be integrated worldwide with conventional medicine in order to provide adequate global health care." In Europe Homeopathy is used by thirty million Europeans and in the UK homoeopathy is available in five National Health Services (NHS) centres which is equivalent of the Medicare system. The Royal Family has used Homoeopathy since 1830 and in France the most popular cold and flu remedy is a homoeopathic remedy.
Homoeopathic Medicines
Homoeopathic medicines are made from a variety of sources, such as plants, animals and minerals. They are prepared by a method called 'potentisation' to precise standards in professional Homoeopathic pharmacies and are regulated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Potentised medicines are powerful and only small doses are required for highly effective results. Homeopathic remedies work by stimulating the body's own healing powers ‘the vital force’ to bring about health and wellbeing. They are completely natural, non-addictive and suitable for use in all stages of life, from the newborn to the elderly.
A Homoeopathic medicine is one, which is known to produce a well-defined set of symptoms if taken by a healthy person. This medicine is then used in the treatment of a patient presenting with that specific set of symptoms, by administering the same substance in a micro dose. The effect is displacement of the condition restoring constitutional balance and good health and a raising of the vital force.
How do Homoeopathic Medicines work?
Homoeopathic remedies work by using a minute does of substances which cause symptoms similar to the illness of the person being treated. Coffee is a prime example of the law of similar. Coffee can produce symptoms of overstimulation of the nervous system, leading to heightened mental and physical alertness, and becoming unusually reactive to normal stimuli such as sounds and smell. It can cause insomnia, headaches and irritability. Coffee given as a homoeopathic remedy can alleviate a patient troubled with such symptoms.
Homoeopatyhy - Holistic & Individual
Homeopathy is patient-centred and uses a highly individual approach to each patient. A homoeopathic remedy will be prescribed based on the totality of your symptoms and how you, as an individual, experience them. Your individual characteristics, your mental, emotional and physical symptoms as well as your previous health issues, susceptibility to certain conditions and family history are of great importance and are essential in selecting the right remedy. The key to the Homoeopathic approach is individualisation; two patients with similar symptom of digestive problems or cold are given different remedies based on how they experience the illness in their own unique ways to suit their particular needs.
Saftey of Homoeopathic Medicines
Homeopathy has a gentle action well suited to the ailments of babies and children, adults & the elderly and can be safely used in pregnancy and alongside conventional medicine.
Homoepathic Consultations - An Integrated Approach to Health Care
Leah's emphasis is on providing health care to the whole family within a professional, compassionate, nurturing and caring environment. She is passionate about homeopathy and her work.
As the mother of six her interest in natural therapies started when her eldest son was diagnosed with ADD and was further intensified when her youngest son was diagnosed with ADHD and could not tolerate Ritalin due to side effects. Through the use of whole foods and homeopathic remedies her son's health improved steadily and has been off Ritalin since.
Leah has a special interest in children's behavioral problems and another major focus on Allergies and Asthma.
Clinic Locations
Leah runs her clinic from Bondi Junction, 3/100 Bronte Road on Mondays from 8:00am - 8:00pm and Tues& Wed from St. Ives. She provides homoeopathic treatment for the whole family for a variety of acute and chronic illnesses. Homoeopathic consultation involves in-depth case taking and therefore appointments are required in order to ensure the most effective treatment is provided.
Homeopathic consultations are very different from a visit to a GP. During the first session, Leah will be taking detailed and extensive case notes in order to gain a complete understanding of your condition and your general state of health. Leah will ask questions relating to your current symptoms and past medical history, diet & lifestyle, sleep and about some mental and emotional aspects in your life, if required. After the consultation Leah will spend time studying and preparing an analysis of these notes before making your first prescription. We will arrange a time at the end of the first consultation for you to collect your homoeopathic remedy.
Ongoing Support
Leah provides ongoing support to her clients and encourages regular contact by phone or email to keep track of the treatment progress. During an acute illness Leah will be in touch with you every day until the condition improves.
Follow up visits
The first follow up appointment may be three to six weeks after taking the initial remedy depending on your individual circumstances. Subsequent appointments will vary between 2½ weeks to 6 weeks but are dependent on your condition. This will ensure that you receive the best Homoeopathic Care.
Consultations for Chilidren
If a consultation is for a young child or infant, the homoeopath will be interested in the mother’s physical and emotional state before and during the pregnancy; the pregnancy and the birthing experience; vaccines given and any reactions that took place; the time it took for the infant to reach milestones i.e. teething, walking and talking, and the presenting complaints.
Consultations for older Children & Teenagers
If the consultation involves discussing any sensitive issues such as behavioral problems, trauma, grief or other sensitive issues then it is best for the parent to make a short appointment before the initial consultation without the child or to bring a friend or family member to the appointment to take the child out for part of the consultation to allow for a discussion in private.
