Glenda is an Aromatherapist, Massage therapist and Doula with over 15 years experience specialising in PREGNANCY massage.
Her qualifications in Lymphatic Drainage and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage add to her range of therapeutic and pampering skills.
Having worked with pregnant Mums for many years, Glenda has completed further studies to become a Birth and Post Natal 'Doula', providing support and assistance in preparation for her clients' labour, birth and follow-up post natal support.
'DOULA' is an unusual word that many people are unfamiliar with.
It has it origins in the Greek language and means 'woman's servant'.
Simply translated we are 'Birthing Assistants', someone who 'mothers' the mother and her partner throughout the labour and birth of their precious baby.
By providing emotional and physical support and preparing the couple for birth during pre-natal consultations, statistics show that the rates of intervention during labour and birth
are greatly reduced.
Ongoing support is provided following baby's arrival to assist with settling baby and establishing new routines within the home.
