SERVICES

Massage
  • Reduces stress levels and increases vitality. Massage increases the flow of blood and lymphatic fluid in the body. Every cell benefits from the increased oxygen and nutrition. Muscles relax so that the body feels refreshed and re-vitalised.

  • Massage can relieve stress, alleviate pain, flush toxins from tired muscles, treat fatigue, help heal and prevent injuries, alleviate mood and promote a sense of well-being.

  • Massage does more than make you feel good, it has wide-ranging physiological effects. It's initial benefits stem from the stimulation of nerve receptors in the skin. The nerve impulses, triggered by rhythmic massage motion, are relayed to the central nervous system where they are translated into massages of relaxation that are sent back to the muscles.

During Pregnancy
Massage is a wonderful way of preparing a womans body for childbirth and helping her to feel more at home with her changing body.

It will not only support middle, lower back muscles, buttocks, legs and thigh muscles with relaxation during stretching of the muscles and softening of ligaments and bones

It is very soothing to the abdomen during the pregnancy and relaxing for the shoulders as they cope with the extra weight of growing breasts

During Labour
Massage continues to support and give comfort and relief to the body.

By massaging the lower back, thighs, buttocks and abdomen thus giving relief of discomfort, pain and tension held in these areas during labour.

With the support of your partner or support person, your delivery can be more relaxing and less painful enabling nature to do its job and less taxing on your body as well as the babies body.

Don't forget massage after childbirth to remove any tension and soreness left in the muscles and to help you feel good.

Dip. Remedial Massage Therapy
Registered Nurse
ATMS Member No. 11510

I have been massaging for 15 years, working with women for 14 years, during and after pregnancy.

From this I realised that a lot of women have a difficMassgaeult time during delivery so with my massage knowledge I decided to see if I could help women during delivery with educating them on muscle and emotional involvement during delivery, and it has evolved from there.

At this point in time, I would like to continue educating women more and introducing them to Touch For Health to support their bodies; the more they relax the easier the delivery will be on them and the baby.

I work from home, I do home visits for clients, and I work at 4 Private Hospital in rehab, post-natal, surgical and others.
