REMEDIAL MASSAGE
Remedial massage uses deeper pressure to alleviate specific Ailments, investigating the resulting effects of daily stressors and musculoskeletal problems. Some common problems that could be relieved may be headaches or neck and from shoulder pain, lower back pain, sciatica, lack of energy due to muscle fatigue and lack of blood circulation.
This type of massage although firm will make you feel more relaxed and energized.

SPORTS MASSAGE
Pre event:-
Pre event massage is used by athletes to ready themselves for their event by playing an integral part in their preparation, warming up muscles by applying quick invigorating movements, concentrating on particular muscle groups and preparing the athlete mentally for the competition.

Post event:-
A slow, soothing Swedish massage to help relieve tension in the sore working muscles and help redistribute blood and break down lactic acid without causing any further discomfort.

POSTURAL ANALYSIS
To make an assessment and devise a treatment plan Margaret analyses posture by observing the position of the head to the torso, the position of the shoulders, the curvature of the spine, the level of the hips leg length, the angleof the leg,and the positon and shape of the feet. This information than indicates what muscles are on tension and what muscles are weak.

CORRECTIVE EXERCISES
From the Postural analysis and musculoskeletal assessment Margaret follows up with a treatment plan including a number of appropriate corrective exercises that are going to strengthen, stretch muscles or increase the mobility of the joint concerned. These exercises in turn help to improve posture and increase efficiency of the muscles involved.

MUSCULOSKELETAL TESTING
Musculoskeletal testing is a method used to assess the range of movement at the joint and the response of muscles to movement. Muscles are passively, actively moved and moved under resistance.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
Another type of treatment - also known as Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy – which Margaret incorporates in the Massage treatment to help alleviate pain. These trigger points are areas of hyperirritability, including the soft tissue structure, in the form of taut bands within the muscle fibre structure, which, when pressed firmly, may feel painful locally or refer pain to another area. This feeling of pain releases, almost immediately or up to 30 seconds later depending on the intensity, fitness, blood circulation and length of time the pain has been chronic.

POSTURAL ANALYSIS
The analysis of posture entails the assessment of muscle tension or weakness, the curvature of the spine, leg lengths, level of the hips and shoulders and position of the head in relation to the chest. This assessment gives the therapist information for a treatment plan.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
A stronger massage that may be incorporated with Remedial Massage dealing with alleviating persistent pain especially, within the deeper layers of postural muscles. The recommended duration
for this type of Massage is 1 to 1½ hours to enable the body to warm up.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
A deep massage applied without oil to stretch the underlying fascia and rejuvenate its elasticity, which usually precedes a Remedial Massage treatment.

PRE AND POST SURGERY TREATMENT

It is recommended to have Lymphatic Drainage treatment before and after surgery. Before surgery the Lymphatic Drainage aids the system to be more efficient in moving protein fluid from the tissues into the blood therefore reducing the amount of bacteria in the tissues to help with the healing process after surgery. It is obvious after surgery where there is a lot of swelling and bruising, so by applying Lymphatic drainage it is going to help to reduce pain and speed up the healing process. After surgery scar tissue forms in the area concerned. Lymphatic Drainage together with deep tissue massage will need to be applied to help the area concerned in order to heal, reduce pain and ease the tension in the surrounding muscles.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE TREATING SCAR TISSUE

After surgery there would be some scar Tissue left that could reduce mobility and reduce blood flow which could lead to pain or increased tension in the surrounding muscles concerned. With deep tissue massage scar tissue can be broken down as soon as the area concerned is not sore to touch and that there have been 3 to 4 Treatments of Lymphatic Drainage to help reduce the swelling and bruising. It is important that deep tissue is applied afterwards to reduce the occurrence of further tightness in the surrounding muscles and restriction in movement which could
lead to pain.

CORPORATE MASSAGE or SEATED MASSAGE
Just the thing needed after sitting at the desk writing or operating a computer. This type of massage helps relieve tension in the neck, shoulders, back and arms. For 10 to 15 minutes a general rub down at your desk at work, with clothes on, will help to both revitalise and relax you.

MOBILE MASSAGE
Mobile massages are carried out in the comforts of your own home or at the location of your choice. The therapist, will bring, a massage table, oils, towels heat pack if need be and music to the massage session. This is a great alternative than travelling to the clinic and or dealing with the stress of traffic
