    Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a holistic system of health and healing, based on the principle of harmony and balance, and considers the human body as an interrelated whole with nature.

The system of healthcare is based on the theories of Yin and Yang, the Five elements, the Zang-Fu organ theory and the Meridian theories. The emphasis is with stimulating the bodies natural healing powers for the prevention of disease with the use of proper diet, Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, Tui Na (massage), and exercise.

    Acupuncture
Acupuncture point treatment has evolved over thousands of years. The first use was through "ashi" points, these are points where there is pain. It was found that by inserting Bones, sharpened stones, or bamboo into these ‘ashi' points it would give relief. It was found that energy flows throughout the body in what are called meridians. Acupuncture point are specific points on the body which give particular access to this energy system, performing different functions depending on their locations and the patterns of disease disharmony involved.

While the patient lays relaxed, very fine surgical steel needles are inserted into these points and usually retained up to 30 minutes. The needles are single use and disposable. They may be manipulated to either tonify, nourish, and strengthen, or to drain or subdue.

Sometimes Electrical stimulation is also used. This is performed by placing small alligator clips onto the needles and passing a very mild battery generated electrical current through the needle to the point.

    Herbal Medicine
Chinese traditional herbal medicine is an alternative system of treatment arising from a holistic philosophy of life. It emphasizes the interconnection of the mental, emotional, and physical components within each person, and the importance of harmony between individuals and their social groups, as well as between humanity as a whole and nature. Although Chinese medicine is neither the oldest system recorded by historians, nor the only form of herbal therapy practiced today, it is the oldest continuous surviving tradition of herbal medicine. The only other alternative system of treatment that can be traced as far back as Chinese medicine is the Ayurvedic system of India. It should be noted that traditional Chinese herbal medicine did not develop in complete isolation. As early as the second century B.C., Chinese merchants in India came into contact with Ayurvedic medicine. In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries A.D., Chinese trade with the West -- especially with the Dutch -- led to exchanges of information and observations about the use of herbs in medical treatment.

    Cupping
Cupping is a technique used in Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for certain health conditions. Glass or bamboo cups are placed on the skin with suction, which is believed to influence the flow of energy and blood in the body.

Cupping is a safe and non-invasive technique. It is used to treat colds, lung infections, and problems in the internal organs. It is also used to treat muscle and joint pain and spasms, particularly in the back. Cupping can be used on people for whom the injection of acupuncture needles poses a problem or risk. Cupping therapy is thought to stimulate blood circulation.

TCM strives to balance and improve the flow of qi, or life energy, which travels throughout the body in channels called meridians. According to traditional Chinese medicine, illness is caused when qi does not move properly in the body. Acupuncturists are trained to determine where qi is stagnated, weak, or out of balance.

    Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a technique used in traditional Chinese medicine in which a stick or cone of burning mugwort, Artemesia vulgaris, is placed over an inflamed or affected area on the body. The cone is placed on an acupuncture point and burned. The cones is removed before burning the skin. The purpose is to stimulate and strengthen the blood and the life energy, or qi, of the body.

Moxibustion is used for people who have a cold or stagnant condition. The moxa stick is burned to warm up the blood and qi that are not circulating well. It is particularly known for its ability to turn breech presentation babies into a normal head-down position that is considered safer during childbirth. In a 1998 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, 75% of the pregnant women in the study had breech fetuses that turned in the normal position. Moxibustion significantly increases fetal movements in pregnant women. Moxibustion is also used to treat inflammations. For example, if treating a patient with tendinitis, the moxa stick is burned over the elbow area. It is also highly regarded for menstrual cramps, where the stick is waved over the abdominal area. Often, the cramps disappear immediately.

    TuiNa
Generally speaking, all massage methods promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, restore and treat injured soft tissues, and correct deformities and abnormal positions of bones and muscles. Dynamic wave signals can influence the physiological function, the pathological state of the body fluid, the balance of yin and yang, Qi blood circulation, and mind and emotion interaction.

The relationship among Qi Gong, acupuncture, and Tui Na are quite close, as they are all based on the same theoretical basis of Chinese traditional medicine.

The words Tui Na translate into "push-grasp" or "poke-pinch" in Chinese. Physically, it is a series of pressing, tapping, and kneading with palms, fingertips, knuckles or implements that help the body to remove blockages along the meridians of the body and stimulates the flow of qi and blood to promote healing, similar to principles of acupuncture, moxibustion, and acupressure. Tui na's massage-like techniques range from light stroking to deep-tissue work which would be considered too vigorous or too painful for a recreational or relaxing massage. Tui na is not used for conditions involving compound fractures, external wounds, open sores or lesions, phlebitis, or with infectious conditions such as hepatitis. Tui na should not be performed on the abdominal portion of a woman in menstrual or pregnant periods, and it is not used for treatment of malignant tumors or tuberculosis.

    Naturopathic Nutrition
Naturopathy is a system of healing that aims to provide holistic or whole body healthcare by drawing on treatment methods from several traditional systems of medicine. Naturopathy seeks to use the natural healing powers of the body to cure itself. It focusses on treating the cause of a disease rather than the symptoms themselves.

Good health and wellness is what naturopathic treatment is all about. The main emphasis of naturopathic practice is the belief that the body has an inbuilt ability to strive for health. The role of a naturopath is to work with a person to promote the natural healing of the body. Naturopathy is rooted in the belief that health is more than just the absence of disease and works on strengthening the body’s natural defences.

A naturopath will design a treatment path that meets your body’s needs. They may at first advise you on how to remove the underlying causes of the stress that is causing problems in the body. This could involve recommending dietary changes, and encouraging ways of achieving a deeper level of relaxation.

    Reconnective Healing®

    What is The Reconnection?

Simply put, The Reconnection is the process of reconnecting to the universe that allows for healing on all levels to take place. The healings of The Reconnection and the frequencies on which they travel are of a new bandwidth, brought in via a spectrum of light and information that has never before been present on Earth. “It isn’t mind over matter or conscious hypnosis. Something real happens during a Reconnective Healing session,” Dr. Pearl says. “There is a vibration of truth when I get the answers and I simply know it to be.”

Mechanics of a Reconnective Healing Session

During a Reconnective Healing session, the patient/client lies on a massage table, often with their shoes off for comfort. The practitioner holds their hands anywhere from six inches to six feet away from the patient, during which time they may begin to experience very obvious, palpable sensations. Many patients report vivid sensory experiences including brilliant images and the smell of beautiful scents and aromas. Practitioners share in the experience and often feel clear sensations in their hands and body as they attune themselves to listen and observe. As practitioners feel and explore the area near and around the client, they discover certain places create different sensations. The patient’s body begins to register involuntary movements – evidence that both practitioner and patient have accessed this new bandwidth of healing frequencies.

    live blood analysis

Live Blood Analysis involves the examination of your blood to analyze your health. A single drop of blood is taken from the tip of your finger, and viewed through a microscope connected to a viewing monitor. This technique enables the evaluation of blood features in their living state, hence the term “live blood” analysis.

Observations are made on variations in the size, shape, ratios & fine structure of red cells, white cells, platelets and other structures in your blood. Observations can infer -

    • Nutritional deficiencies
    • Organ-system dysfunctions
    • Gut Permeability & Digestive health
    • Antioxidant levels & Free-Radical load
    • Certain biochemical imbalances
    • Immune surveillance & activity

Unlike most other medical testing, you remain present during the analysis. This gives you the unique and fascinating opportunity to see your own blood cells on the monitor screen.

    Why use Live Blood Screening?

Live Blood Analysis detects functional imbalances otherwise known as 'precursors' to disease (inflammation, sluggish immune surveillance, poor red cell structure etc) very early on, in some instances well before that of standard blood pathology.
