WHY I LOVE NATUROPATHY
I have been working as a Naturopath for over five years and love helping people live happier and healthier lives just as much today, as when I started. The reason I became a naturopath is that I truly love to help people feel better and allow them to discover how making a few changes can make a world of difference to the way they feel.
I discovered naturopathy 11 years ago, when it helped me recover after being quite ill for a couple of years. I will never forget the change my naturopath made to my life. I regained my energy, I stopped getting every cold that was going around and could lead a full and exciting life again. After finishing my first year of a science degree, I realised I wanted to help people get better by working with them and not from inside a laboratory, so I changed my course in life and became a Naturopath.
I also have over 10 years of experience in community pharmacy, which has given me an immense amount of knowledge on over the counter products and pharmaceuticals that are used to help manage conditions. I help people everyday to become happier and healthier, using natural medicines and making small changes to their eating habits and lifestyle. There are many reasons why we become ill. In today’s world it is even harder to maintain your health. This is because we are subject to hundreds of chemicals in our environment and in the foods and drinks we consume. WHAT IS NATUROPATHY
Naturopathy is a system of natural therapies that treat the whole body and not just the disease. We need to find the cause of your health problem, so that we can treat not only the symptoms of your illness but also the reason you are ill. This leads to better and longer lasting results.
During your consultation I will ask you questions, perform iridology and tests if indicated, so that I can have a clear picture of how your body is functioning and where the weaknesses are. Naturopathy can include the use of herbal medicine, nutritional medicine, homeopathy, homotoxicology, flower essences and diet and lifestyle factors to assist your body in healing and working to its full potential. This means you start to feel healthy and free of your illness.
WHAT IS HEMAVIEW LIVE BLOOD SCREENING
See yourself on the big screen! Using only one or two drops of your blood I can see what your red blood cells, white blood cells and their environment say about your health. While I view your blood under my microscope, you can see your live blood on the monitor in front of you. Hemaview allows me to see what is happening at a cellular level. This results in a more tailored and effective treatment plan, giving you better results sooner. As a part of the Hemaview screening, you also receive a report on the key features in your blood. The report includes photos of your blood, explanations on what was seen and what you can do to improve your health. You can feel the difference that naturopathic care makes to your health, now you can also SEE the difference.
WHAT IS HERBAL MEDICINE
It is one of the oldest forms of medicine, that uses the properties of plants to support the healing process and give symptomatic relief. Your body has the ability to heal itself and herbal medicine supports your body in doing so. The emphasis of herbal medicine is to strengthen the body’s defence systems rather than simply attack the disease. Herbal medicine comes in many forms including liquids, tablets, teas, powders and creams.
HOMEOPATHY
Homeopathy has been used as a medicine for over 200 years and is widely used today especially in Europe and India. Homeopathic preparations contain diluted ingredients that help the body to heal itself. The way that these medicines are made, makes them a very safe and effective form of treatment, with no side effects or interactions. This means they are perfectly suited for children, the elderly, pregnant women and people on pharmaceutical medications. They come in many forms including drops, sprays and chewable tablets.
WHAT IS NUTRITIONAL MEDICINE
Nutritional medicine includes changing your eating habits to include certain foods for their vitamin and mineral content. At times you may also need to take a supplement in the form of a powder or tablets. When we are deficient in certain vitamins or minerals or have an increased demand for them, it may not be possible to obtain enough through food alone. This is where supplements are very useful as they can help improve your symptoms and speed up your recovery.
WHAT ARE FLOWER ESSENCES
Flower essences are an ancient form of medicine/healing that is used all over the world. I use them along- side other therapies to help my patients with emotional issues they may be dealing with. When used correctly, these essences can have a profound effect on a patient’s strength, energy, commitment, confidence and ability to deal with stress, changes and fear.

Zinc test
$10.00- Could your symptoms be caused by zinc deficiency?. Zinc is an essential mineral for health. Find out what category you sit in, so we can determine which supplement is best suited to you. Depending on how zinc deficient you are, your body may not be able to absorb adequate zinc from foods or even supplements in tablet form. The zinc taste test is simple, quick and most importantly accurate.
Urinary Indican Test
$15.00- screens for the degree of gut toxicity and intestinal dysbiosis ( the presence of bacterial overgrowth). If there is a presence bacteria that are causing fermentation, this could be a cause of symptoms like, bloating, excess gas, irregular bowel motions, cramping and pain in the bowel area or IBS. The test will determine what type of treatment is best to get rid of the overgrowth of bacteria and can be used to monitor your progress. It is a simple test, that just requires you to provide a small urine sample, and is based on scientific research.
