To claim under Medicare, you need a referral from your doctor for a diagnosable mental health condition, such as anxiety, depression, addictive behaviours such as smoking, and overeating, and other treatable conditions.
FEES:These are based on the recommended APS fees for 50 minute consults. However, this practice maintains a policy of keeping fees as low as practicable so that high quality services are within reach for most people.
All consults are approximately 60 min in duration though this may vary.
MEDICARE REBATES MAY APPLY FOR THOSE WHOSE GP OR PSYCHIATRIST HAS ORGANISED A MENTAL HEALTH PLAN.

Online counselling is also available by prior arrangement using Skype video or chat conferencing. This is particularly useful for those living in rural and remote areas, or other regional locations. Also for busy professionals and executives who find it hard to leave their offices.
Issues best suited to this medium are wide ranging, and include stress management for Corporate managers and other busy professionals, as well as anyone who is unable to attend office appointments.
