SERVICES As hypnotherapy seems a little bit mysterious to some people, I have written a brief personal background so at least you will know something about this hypnotherapist.
Background
A privileged upbringing gave me an excellent education at Melbourne Grammar School, Melbourne University and later at University College London. Life's challenges have helped me shape my character and my career.
Two very happy long term marriages gave me two daughters who are very special to me, however I am no stranger to sorrow, as my other children did not survive. I brought up a special needs child as a single parent, and spent many stressful years in the in family law litigation. I am personally aware of how dependent we are upon one another, and on good health. I benefited from hypnotherapy myself to stop smoking.
Hypnotherapy is my second career, in my first career I was a civil engineer, where I specialised in project management and information technology. After 25 years in the building and heavy engineering construction industries, working at home and abroad, I retired and moved into the mental health sector in 1997. I qualified in hypnotherapy in 2003 and established a clinic in Perth, followed by Banksia Hypnotherapy Clinic in Melbourne.
My aim is for my clinic to provide the best possible service, to those we offer to help, and I will continue to work within our professional organisation, the Australian Hypnotherapists' Association, to maintain high standards in our profession.
