What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a holistic form of health care that aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people primarily through the use of natural medicines and lifestyle guidelines. It recognizes the bodies own ability to heal itself under the right conditions and with the help of herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, and dietary and lifestyle changes.
What testing services are available?
Hayley uses a variety of tests to assess your current health status.
VLA Bioimpedance
The Vitality, Longevity and Anti-aging (VLA) machine uses a gentle electrical current to test a number of health parameters that indicate how well your body is ageing. This technology measures important markers of ageing- your cellular toxicity, cellular vitality, fat mass, muscle mass, hydration and fluid balance to analyse the key biological markers of ageing. Through testing we are able to determine your ideal weight, and compare this to your current body weight.
VLA testing is one of the many tools available to gain a better insight into your general health status and the inner workings of your body. Toxicity, inflammation, stress and poor nutrition will all become apparent using this testing. Most importantly, it acts as a measure that we can use to demonstrate your progress during treatment.
Hemaview Live Blood Screening
Hemaview is a blood test that involves viewing a drop of your blood live through a microscope on a computer screen in front of you. Hayley will be able to assess the state of your immune cells and the health of your red blood cells. Viewing and examining your blood will enable your Hayley screen for poor nutrition, alcohol, smoking, stress, inflammation and toxicity. Improvements in your health can be measured by changes seen in your blood after treatment has commenced.
Zinc Taste Test
Zinc levels can be assessed using a ‘Zinc taste test’. This quick and simple test gives a great indication of your zinc status.
Urinary Indicans test
This is a simple urine test which will indicate the level of overgrowth of ‘bad’ bacteria in the bowel- dysbiosis. Dysbiosis can lead a variety of digestive symptoms and is useful for indicating the need for a detoxification program.
Allergy or intolerance testing
Common foods, additives, sweetners and colours are screened for possible intolerances or sensitivities that may be responsible for a range of symptoms including digestive complaints, sinus, asthma, and eczema.
Hair analysis
Provides an overview of the bodies mineral and heavy metal levels and ratios. A comprehensive report is supplied with results, graphs and recommendations based on the results.
