Jamie is a compassionate Kinesiologist, specialising in the holistic management of health and wellbeing through the gentle, yet powerful healing techniques of Kinesiology.

Vital Health Kinesiology

What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a natural complementary therapy – often described as mind/body medicine, which serves to create optimal conditions for healing within the body.

Based on western understanding of anatomy and physiology and the principals of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Kinesiology uses muscle feedback techniques to identify imbalances in the physical, emotional, mental and energetic systems of the body. Gentle but powerful correction techniques are used in a kinesiology session to restore the energetic balance to the body to aid healing and wellbeing.

Who needs to see a Kinesiologist?

Everybody can benefit from a kinesiology session – be it for a ½ hour ‘tune-up’ to keep balanced and clear-headed or an hour session for involved complaints and issues.
Kinesiology can help with the following:
  • Increased energy and vitality
  • Gynaecological disorders
  • Healing from Injuries and surgery
  • Grief and emotional pain
  • Physical pain
  • Improved motivation, memory, learning and concentration.
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Children’s behavioral and learning problems
  • Inflammatory conditions
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Migraine
  • Depression and mood swings
  • Skin conditions
  • Nutritional and diet issues
  • Complementary cancer support
  • Many more health challenges

What happens in a Kinesiology Session?

After initial history taking, the session takes place with the client fully clothed on a therapy table. All sessions are unique, as one approach does not fit all. However, muscle response testing is used in all Kinesiology sessions to ascertain the nature of the imbalance within the body and the corrections needed to facilitate healing.

Some of the correction techniques used in a Kinesiology session may include but are not limited to:
  • Emotional Stress Release technique
  • Acupressure therapy
  • Neuro-Vascular and Neuro-Lymphatic reflex therapy
  • Flower essence therapy
  • Aromatherapy
  • Colour therapy
  • Nutritional support
  • Affirmation therapy

What happens after a Kinesiology session?

After a Kinesiology session, it is not uncommon to experience a period of adjustment. This is because Kinesiology encourages gentle shifts in energy flow to restore energetic balance to the body.

Some examples of the physical or emotional changes that can take place after a Kinesiology session are:
  • Heightened sensitivity and sensations in the body.
  • Feelings of lightness and/or relief.
  • Emotional eruptions such as release (tears), relief or extreme joy.
  • Increased vivid dream activity or changes in sleep patterns.
  • Increased activity in bodily functions.
  • Immediate relief from symptoms or alternatively, a temporary worsening of symptoms.

An important component of a persons healing journey is the ability to acknowledge the role they play in their own health and healing. A client can expect to leave a kinesiology session with supportive recommendations to take home. Recommendations could include:
  • Dietary and nutritional advice
  • Visualisations, affirmations and specific meditations
  • Flower essence remedies
  • Lifestyle advice
  • Application of Acupoint press pellets

Kinesiology through Muscle Response Testing (MRT) can help identify Food Intolerances and environmental substances contributing to ill health.

Food intolerances and environmental substances can contribute to many chronic health conditions, but are often difficult to identify. Muscle Response Testing (MRT) is a convenient, pain free and cost effective way to identify the foods a person may be intolerant to. MRT for food intolerances can quickly identify foods that may be affecting optimal health. This test is performed by manually assessing a person’s muscle response to individual test-vials of homeopathic food substances or foods that have been brought into the clinic session. By temporarily removing the foods from the diet that have been indicated through MRT, chronic health symptoms can often improve significantly.
Food intolerances have been associated with the following conditions:
Bloating
  • Fluid retention
  • Inflammatory conditions
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Migraine
  • Depression
  • Mood swings
  • Asthma
  • Skin conditions
  • Behavioural problems in children
  • Gynaecological disorders

    testimonials

"Jamie Ferris is a caring and exceptional kinesiologist who has been treating my 4 year old child. Jamie tested and identified many food's my child was reactive to. I was amazed by the difference when I eliminated these foods from her diet. My child's behavioural challenges, concentration, and energy levels completely changed for the better. She began listening better, making eye contact with me and giving me lots of cuddles. Jamie has made a huge difference in our lives. Thank you so much. I can't recommend her highly enough" Anna from Glen Iris
