Welcome to Jan Campbell Thompson, Analytic Psychotherapist
Jan Campbell-Thompson
Primarily my methods of working are dependent upon and determined by the specific needs of the individual/couple. PSYCHOANALYTIC PSYCHOTHERAPY, DREAM ANALYSIS, VISUALISATION, CREATIVITY AND BREATHING TECHNIQUES are some of the modalities which may be employed as we work together in the uncovering, working through and understanding of your experiences and concerns. Apart from running my practice, I teach the theory and clinical implications of psychotherapeutic practice. I enjoy public speaking with a particular focus on raising individual awareness to our own unspoken and for the most part unacknowledged discourse which influences ALL of our interactions. Workshops, both clinically based and with more of an organisational 'bent' are all aspects of my professional persona.
Comment from Jan: “The core of my work involves ‘Being’ present to another within the safety of the therapeutic process as their own way of ‘Being’ in the world gradually unfolds. Jan is also available for consultation via SKYPE.
Mis-Communication
ORGANISATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS and the dire ramifications of MIS-COMMUNICATIONS form a large part of the overall work.
