YOUR HEALING JOURNEY POWERED BY NATURAL MEDICINE
I practice and prescribe an integrative and holistic approach to health and wellbeing by considering both the physical and emotional needs of each individual. By applying a number of therapies, I offer my patients a corrective as well as a preventative approach to health. My approach, called
Patient-Centred Empowerment Health and Wellness Program (PACE), is pictured below. At the heart of the
PACE Program is the concept of working and journing together to identify the cause(s) of patients’ health problems and then solving them and thus removing the effects. This approach involves both treating and educating my patients as to how to create and maintain optimal health and wellbeing in their current life circumstances. Importantly,
PACE also encourages each individual to take ownership of their own health through gaining valuable knowledge to make better choices on a daily basis. This education is the most influential and sustaining factor in feeling good and leading a balanced life on a long-term basis.
Patient-Centred Empowerment Health and Wellness Program (PACE)
Let me explain briefly how
PACE works. Overall, your current health is the combined effect of your physiology, nutrition and lifestyle choices. Your signs and symptoms are red flags alerting you to the fact that either your physiology or nutrition/lifestyle choices, or both, are not what they should be.
PACE facilitates a true and balanced health correction that comes from looking wholistically at YOU and WHAT YOU DO. The program follows a clear path that allows you to move along the way to health at the
pace optimal for you.
Firstly, we comprehensively assess your physiology, nutrition and lifestyle for any areas of divergence and then we make a list of your current health concerns. Secondly, we organise the list in priority order. Finally, we focus on your priorities and treat them with the specific remedies and lifestyle modifications. As a result, you are getting both – a relief from your current symptoms with minimal, if any, side effects, and a program that addresses the underlying causes. The end result and your personal reward is a quality of health that makes your life more enjoyable and happier, while also giving you the best chance of preventing the numerous chronic diseases of our times.
ABOUT ME
Prior to practicing natural medicine, I spent 18+ years having a succeesful career in the corporate sector. Like most positions at the top end of town, this was quite stressful and led to having significant health issues. After a while I realised that there had to be a better way than keep taking antibiotics and other medications to alleviate symptoms of disease. Most importantly, the cause(s) of an illness needs to be identified and addressed for a healing to occur. Whilst I always recognised and respected the place and value of conventional medicine, I was also passionate about natural medicines having for a long time experienced their effects on my family’s wellbeing. During my studies, I undertook university courses in Biochemistry, Behavioural Neuroscience and Microbiology and these have further encouraged and benefited my holistic approach in the treatment of both the emotional and physical wellbeing of a patient. Nutrition is the foundation and starting point for all my treatments as it determines health outcomes both short and long-term. When it comes to nutrition, ignorance is not bliss – it is quite the opposite, in fact there is a very high price to pay for being misinformed. I have developed
PACE as a program to take patients forward in their journey to wellness and a happier life.
