Testimonials

When I first came to see John I could not move my foot after surgery. After 4 weeks off resting I saw my surgeon and he wanted me to rest and put my foot up for another 4 weeks. I was out of sick leave and holidays. After my first visit there was some movement in my foot. After 3 months and 4 visits I was walking normally again. My GP was amazed.

Thanks so much for teaching me that butt stretch to stop my back and leg hurting. After doing it (the stretch) every time I get a twinge I have had NO leg pain or back pain since. Thanks so much. You did what the surgeons and physios couldn’t.

William is a disabled boy. The Paediatrician and Psychologist had claimed that he would not develop beyond a 3 month old. Getting daily massage and range of motion treatment William was able to avoid Botox. In 2007 he sat up. The same year he learned to roll over, pull himself up onto his feet and eventually walk. In 2009 he started to say 2 and 3 word sentences. He now runs, climbs, plays with cars just like any other boy his age. Yes he is still disabled but he is functioning beyond the experts’ predictions. William is legally blind so the stimulation to learn is a challenge. Visually impaired children are 18 months behind in their development because vision is our main way of learning.

Massage talks and demonstrations. Teaching parents and carers massage for their children. Having travelled this road John is passionate about helping disabled children to be the best they can be. His positive outlook, can do attitude and story are inspiring. Early intervention is the tiny window of opportunity to make a huge impact on a young person’s life. A Novita physio once told me that if we can get a child to sit up by the age of 2 we can get them walking. What more motivation is there?
- CanDo4Kids (2008-2010)

Supervised massage students at rehab sessions. Instructing them in rehab plans and techniques.
- North Adelaide FC (2003-2006)

An under 17 player was sent up to the league medical staff for a second opinion. He had foot pain and his GP wanted him to stop playing and if no improvement then surgery. John was the therapist and treated the player with Reflexognosy. His navicular (small bone in the foot) was subluxed (out of place) after treatment the player walked with no pain. He also played that Saturday and made the best players list.
- North Adelaide Football Club (2005)

Senior and AFL listed players would insist on having John massage them in rehab and also match days.
- North Adelaide FC (2006)
