SERVICES
I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, registered with the Professional Counselling Association of Tasmania, a member association of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia. I have spent twelve years training, studying and practising in the UK and Australia, and hold a Certificate in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy, a Masters degree in Jungian Psychology, and a Diploma in Transpersonal Counselling. I have also undertaken extensive training in Sandplay Therapy and Ecotherapy, have had papers published in several international psychotherapy journals, and led workshops and seminars in the UK.
I am qualified to work with both adults and children.

Jungian Psychotherapy & Counselling
I offer psychotherapy and counselling for a wide range of issues, including various forms of depression and anxiety, trauma-related issues, relationship and career problems and life crises and change. Working from a primarily Jungian perspective, I consider the unconscious mind to be the main source of healing and development in the individual, and I work with dreams, the arts and the inner life to support transformation through self discovery and integration.

Grief Counselling
I have undertaken grief counselling training and have experience in dealing with bereaved clients.

Sandplay Therapy
An arts based therapy involving figurines and sand, offering a unique opportunity to engage in a free, creative process that enables unconscious material, such as that of the dream, to take on three-dimensional form. Personal meaning and mythology are expressed through image and symbol rather than talk, making this process suitable for children and adults from all cultures and backgrounds. I am the Tasmania contact for STANZA (Sandplay Therapy Association of Australia and New Zealand) whose website can be found at www.stanza.asn.au, and I am also undertaking ongoing professional training with ISST qualified teachers (ISST being the International Society for Sandplay Therapy which is based in Zurich).

Ecotherapy
Healing with nature in mind, Ecotherapy offers practical as well as psychological possibilities for addressing life’s challenges, reconnecting the inner world with the outer Earth, and considering not only human to human relationships but also human to nature. It offers a wider perspective on problems and difficulties, taking the view that the ecological is not only the ground of our being, but also the basis of our internal landscape.

Clinical Supervision
I have experience in offering clinical supervision to practicing psychotherapists, psychologists and counsellors, especially those looking for a Jungian perspective or support with sandplay therapy.
