Shiatsu
...is a preventative therapy originating in China 2000 years ago, meaning simply finger pressure. Pressure is applied onto the energy-pathways (Meridians) in the body. It’s a very gentle form of massage and works on the physical, emotional and spiritual level. It clears blockages in the Meridians, balances the flow of energy in the body and helps to fight off illness and to maintain good health.

Ki Yoga
…..is derived from the teachings of Japanese yoga Master Masahiro Oki who combined Indian Hatha Yoga with the precise diagnostic & meridian based healing art of China and Japan. It is also called the Yoga of meaning. Stefanie studied under the watchful eye of Jack Marshall, who developed Ki Yoga. Master Oki believed in four essential things: strength in your Hara (or belly), laughter and smiles, a positive mind and gratitude. The asanas (poses) of Ki-yoga strengthen, balance and invigorate you and your body. They are aligned to the seasons & the needs of your body, to support your wellbeing in a holistic way.

Swedish Massage
...is a relaxing form of Massage, which increases your well being, stimulates circulation ,promotes muscle tone and decreases aches and pains.

Remedial Massage
...is a deeper form of Massage commonly used for specific complaints or injuries. Also
includes advise on corrective exercises.

Qigong Healing
The use of external energy directed to the client’s body without use of apparatus. It is especially useful in the treatment of stress related illnesses or stress itself. The client can feel the following reactions: warmth, relaxation of the mind and body, regulation of the heartbeat, a deepening of breathing and a lowering of blood-pressure. The client feels a change in energy and emotion.

Sports Massage
….is aimed at athletes and people that play sports to support pre and post event as well as treat injuries and ailments. Promotes range of motion as well as flexibility.

Meditation
…to calm a busy mind, to get in touch with yourself and your inner resources, to help focus, to find inner peace and let it spread to the outside. Stefanie teaches mostly mindful ness meditation and Yoga nidra., in groups or private lessons

"Meditations for a busy mind" Meditation CD
Meditation helps to reduce stress, decrease anxiety, improve memory function, increases self awareness and increase ability to access inner wisdom, just to name some of the benefits of meditation.
Many of us are busy people mostly doing and rarely being able to relax and just be. The flipside of this can be stress and sometimes anxiety. The simple meditation exercises illustrated here will help you experience and explore the benefits of meditation.
The two techniques on this cd are easy to follow and good for times when we find it hard to guide ourselves through a meditation. They are little helpers along the way of discovery for the beginning meditator and revision for the well established meditator. They will bring you back to the basics of being with awareness on breath, body and mind, becoming and being an observer; helping you to be in the moment, accepting what is, become more relaxed, being more aware and awake.

Myofacial Release
…is an effective technique, that uses sustained pressure to the myofacia (connective tissue) of the body to eliminate restrictions and help to restore balance.

Summer time
Summer is a time to connect with people around you as well as with the environment you live in – a very social time; it’s the most energetic phase of the year with its expansive energy; days are the longest, sun is the hottest and nature is the most active.
The Fire energy gives us strength & power as well as inspiring our creativity & communication. If the fire element is well balanced we have the ability to see the connection between things and we also can see our place in the world. We experience a nice sense of well-being and contentment without being noisy about it. We are able to feel love and compassion for others as well as for self.
So let us focus on all the positive in us and around us and enjoy, communicate and connect.

Recipe
Poached pears in lemon sauce with Raspberries 2cups apple juice - 1TB rice syrup – pinch of sea salt – 2pears cut in half & seeded - 2 TB kuzu diluted in 1/8 cup cold water – juice & zest from 1 lemon - fresh & mint leaf
1. bring apple juice, rice syrup & salt to a boil. Add the pear halves & simmer for about5 min. remove when soft & place in serving bowls.
2. bring apple juice back to a boil & stir diluted kuzu in. simmer for ˝ min.
3. turn off the heat & add lemon juice & zest.
4. pour sauce over pear halves & garnish with raspberries & mint.

Some suggestions for this time of year
- take time for yourself
- ground yourself
- take somedeep breaths
- have a treatment to help keep focus
- establishing a good yoga practice throughout the holidays might be
just what you need
- or even give meditation a go, you might surprise yourself
