The kismet approach...

Using counselling, astrology or dreamwork within a client-centered framework, Philippa works creatively with individuals and groups to achieve their goals. She has worked with people of all ages in a variety of settings; from adults in private practice to children and teenagers experiencing isolation due a range of factors such as Asperger’s syndrome.


Transpersonal Counselling

The transpersonal refers to all the dimensions of psyche and human experience. It speaks to much that is devalued in our modern industrial culture, acknowledging a spectrum of consciousness, soul and spirit, and the interconnectedness of all things.

In counselling terms this means exploring the larger picture of any issues. In addition to a client centered counselling, Philippa offers a range of exploratory and connective techniques. These include guided meditation or visualisation, creative expression using art, voice dialogue work, access to bodily wisdom via the technique of focusing, or the subtle body through chakra mapping, as well as dreamwork and ritual.

Initial consultations are 90 minutes and subsequent appointments can be prearranged for 60 or 90 minutes.

Astrology

Astrology offers a mythical framework through which to comprehend and experience one's own qualities, strengths, challenges and rites of passage. The birth or natal chart is a map of the solar system cast at your exact time of birth. Philippa approaches the birth chart as a map of the psyche. It offers deep insights into your fundamental nature that can be drawn upon to navigate your journey through life.

Consultations explore your key birth chart themes within the context of current planetary configurations. In addition to discussion, Philippa offers an experiential process whereby you can literally step into your chart. In this beautiful life size circle you will be guided to experience the planets and all the dimensions or your chart for yourself. This brings astrology alive as you can access, explore and integrate the resources therein.

Services include individual consultations and group workshops that explore current astrological themes within the context of participant's life experiences.

Dreamwork

Curious about your dreams? Most of us are mystified, challenged or inspired by our dreams at some stage. Dreamwork is exploring the unique symbolism of the psyche, opening a conversation between your waking and dreaming selves.

Philippa offers a range of techniques to help you connect with the richness and intensely personal meaning of your dreams. These include active imagination processes, guided meditation, drawing and clay work.

Dreams can be explored as part of the counselling process or through dream groups. Philippa runs dream groups in Randwick and Hornsby.
