    Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an umbrella term for many techniques, most commonly acupuncture & Chinese Herbal medicine. Other methods include: cupping, Chinese massage (tui na) & heat therapy
  • A natural medical system used to diagnose, treat and prevent illness for over 2500 years.
  • TCM is based on the principle that energy (qi) flows throughout the body's through pathways called meridians. When energy becomes blocked, disease results


    Acupuncture

  • Treats a wide range of conditions especially pain, weight loss, emotional problems addictions, women’s health & digestive problems
  • Acupuncture uses very fine, single use stainless steel needles inserted into specific acupuncture points on the body
  • May be painless, or a dull or electrical sensation felt to radiate from the point.
  • After Acupuncture treatment, pain and other symptoms may be significantly reduced, and a general feeling of wellbeing experienced.

    Chinese Herbs

  • Pre-formulated herbal formulas & customised powdered herbs are used for greater convenience.
  • A Chinese Herbal formula is most commonly suggested after an acupuncture treatment and used as a way of enhancing health in between appointments.

    Cupping

  • Cupping is an effective technique for relaxing and detoxifying muscles.
  • Cups are suctioned onto the skin, drawing toxic waste from the underlying muscle to the skin surface, resulting into relaxed supple muscles.
  • Cupping effectively treats musculoskeletal pain (back, neck, shoulder and leg pain), swelling, toxicity, colds, flu’s and fever.
  • Cupping is often used as part of a Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment, alongside modalities such as acupuncture and massage.


    Therapeutic Massage

  • Effective techniques are used such as deep tissue massage, sports massage, pressure point therapy
  • relieves chronic patterns of tension within your muscles, tendons and ligaments. Release toxins and free mental/ emotional blockage
  • Therapeutic massage is often used as part of a Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment, alongside modalities such as acupuncture and massage s
