The key is to use a combination of techniques that are personalised for you. Because of this holistic approach, we can make a significant difference in just a few sessions. Some of the techniques we use are:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: This is an empirically proven therapy which helps you identify how thinking patterns contribute to your feelings and behaviour. We offer strategies to challenge and alter these thinking patterns so that they become more adaptive.
- Clinical Hypnotherapy: Another empirically proven therapy which creates a "golden handshake" between the subconscious and conscious mind, helping you to fast-track positive changes in your life.
- Neuro Linguistic Programming: With a central philosophy that what the mind agrees with the body will respond to, using NLP we can assist you in changing your physiology and neurology to help you achieve your goals.
- Brief Therapy: Brief therapy is often described as highly strategic, exploratory, and solution-based rather than problem-oriented. It is less concerned with how a problem arose than with the current factors sustaining it and preventing change. Brief therapy does not adhere to one "correct" approach and we acknowledge that there may be many paths you can take towards a healthier and happier you.
- Meridian Energy (EFT, TFT and Kinesiology): Used in conjunction with other aligned therapies, we have a history of excellent results with clients in healing trauma and abuse, fears and phobias, panic and anxiety, depression, addictions and compulsions. EVIDENCE & TESTIMONIALS
In a recent survey by American Health Magazine, Dr Alfred A. Barrios identified the top 2 successful therapies (in terms of recovery rates) as:
