About Kylie:

Kylie is passionately involved in the fields of transpersonal and para-psychology, which examine various spiritual and paranormal phenomena, as related to psychology. She is currently involved in numerous research and writing projects and is a research fellow at Phoenix Institute of Australia.

Kylie has a special interest in helping people experiencing spiritual crisis and deep personal transformation. Her PhD thesis is investigating "spiritual emergencies", which refers to a process of spiritual awakening that becomes psychologically chaotic or traumatic. These experiences are often misunderstood and inappropriately labelled as psychosis or various other mental disorders. It is believed that if an individual is nurtured and guided through the process, it is possible to achieve spiritual and psychological growth. Kylie also has a special interest in providing healing to terminally ill patients, since helping to nurse her dear father until his passing in January 2012. In these cases, healing is not aimed at miraculous recovery or cure. Rather, it is about helping to create a sense of peace and acceptance for the patient and their loved ones. Believe it or not, an individuals passing can actually be a beautiful and amazing experience.

What to expect from a session:

Kylie will usually combine reiki and spiritual healing/counselling during a session. You will discuss any specific issues (physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual) that you wish to work upon. While lying on a treatment table, Kylie will place her hands lightly upon your body in various positions, while you remain fully clothed. This will allow energy to flow into your body to the places where it is needed, clearing blockages and promoting a state of harmony. In this state the body, mind and spirit are able to self-heal. Gentle music and aromatherapy oils may be used to promote a deeper state of relaxation and healing. The session will include a discussion about anything that arises during the treatment.

Kylie is fully registered and insured. She is available Tuesdays and Fridays at The Reiki Garden, 277 Glenferrie Rd, Malvern. Home visits are available upon request.

90 mins = $125

Home visits = $110
Palliative care home visits = by donation
