About your therapist

Laura Burton qualified with a certificate four in Remedial Massage from Nature Care College in 2003. Since then she has also undertaken studies in Chinese massage, Lymphatic drainage therapy, Pregnancy Massage and Indian Head neck and Shoulder Massage.
Laura completed an advanced diploma of Naturopathy in December 2008 and is available for Naturopathic consultaions at Dural Wellness Centre.

What does a Naturopathic Consultation involve?
Your consulation will include;

1) Collecting a comprehensive case history including
- Medical history
- Diet
- Review of body systems

2) Along with your case history, the following tools may be used during the consultation
- Iridology
- Zinc taste test
- Urine analysis
- Blood pressure check
- BIA Body Composition Analysis

NB. Any pathology test results such as blood tests that you have will also be assessed and more pathology tests may be ordered.

What is Iridology?
Iridology is the study of the iris particularly its colours, markings, fibre layout and changes.

Iridology is often used in combination with other diagnostic tools and assessment techniques to interpret an individual's state of health
During your consultation pictures of your eyes will be taken

Naturopathic Treatment
Once all the information has been collected a treatment program will be ascertianed. Depending on the individual needs of the patient, the treatment program may include;

Naturopathic consultations specifically for Bach flower essences.

The Bach flower system includes 38 flower remedies, each
prepared from the flowers of wild plants, trees and bushes. The essences gently restore the balance between mind and body by transforming negative attitudes and emotions into positive ones.
Consultations take 20-30 minutes at a cost of $60 which includes 1 bottle of individually prescribed Bach flowers.

Your first treatment will include a brief consultation where your therapist will collect details of your relevant medical history and your expectations for your treatment.
