Emily is a fully qualified and experienced Osteopath who graduated from Victoria University in Melbourne in 2006. Additional to private practice, Emily works as a coordinator of the Osteopathy Postgraduate Paediatrics Programme at Victoria University, which is the only post-graduate paediatrics course for manual therapists in Australia. Emily also works as a Clinical Educator and Tutor of senior osteopathic students at Victoria University. Emily has a strong interest in patient-centred approaches to health care for the whole family with a special interest in the treatment of pregnant women, young children and adolescents. Depending on the patient and the condition being treated, Emily will draw on a wide range of gentle manual techniques. These include massage, articulation, muscle energy techniques, high-velocity low-amplitude thrust techniques (manipulation), myofascial release, balanced ligamentous tension and cranial osteopathy.
