Relationship Matters

Support to foster resilient relationships, love that lasts.

Rich relationships are precious ... offering friendship, intimacies, understanding, acceptance, appreciation and encouragement. Yet they require close care and attention.

Would you like to experience a meaningful relationship?
I offer a mindfulness based approach and sensitive support to assist you through change or challenges whilst coaching you to create a resilient relationship whether single, partnered, in a same sex relationship or married. I am an advocate for good relationships and provide a female and male friendly environment.

Every individual and relationship is unique so I listen to what is important to you. The time you devote to your relationship and the process we attend can be valuable, deepening your awareness, understanding, your skills and confidence to create a rich and rewarding relationship.

As an individual and/or couple, you may want to attend to dating, getting to know & exploring compatibility. You may be at a stage where clarifying values & expectations is important to ending disagreements, dealing with differences & resolving conflict constructively. You may be needing help identifying & ending unhelpful relationship dynamics which limit emotional & physical intimacy or rebuilding trust & affection after a rift or managing difficulties with others. You may welcome support navigating change with resilience ... birth, illness, loss of work, separation, grief, moving, retirement.

There is support to journey from romance ebbing to rekindling intimacy, from drifting apart to deepening connection, from heartache to healing hurts, from tension to compassion. You are welcome to call to discuss how I may be of support to you and your relationship.

I offer a sliding scale of fees based on income. The standard session fee for couples is $100/hr with 1.5hrs $150. You are welcome to discuss with me what you can comfortably afford. (For health fund rebates see further below.)

Personal Development Group: Mindfulness, A Path to Emotional Resilience

Mindfulness, a promise of peace, breath by breath

Our emotional resilience as human beings can be sorely challenged depending on the nature and number of stressors we are dealing with at any time. If you find it difficult to navigate life's challenges you may benefit from furthering your inner life skills to cultivate emotional resilience.

This program supports and guides participants to learn fundamental clear steps in the practice of mindfulnes. Mindfulness is a purposeful quality of relaxed attention on your experience, moment to moment without judgement. This state of imparticial, open, deeply interested attentiveness to your experience as it is, in the moment ... enables you to let go focusing on the past, the future, desires and expectations and fosters focusing on 'what is' in the present. This does not mean we stop reflecting and learning from the past or stop planning for the future, rather it enables an increasingly rich "present moment" awareness of your life.

You will learn how to cultivate a deep attention, deepening awareness of how your mind is perceiving, thinking creating, generating feelings and responses to your day to day experience. Mindful of our experience in this way, with practice, we are increasingly able to remain calm and less identified with perceptions, opinions, expectations, likes and dislikes and less reactive. We are also able to choose to be less identified with unhelpful patterns of thinking, emotion and we are freer to respond to ourselves, to life, with greater wisdom and compassion.

Regular practice helps us to wake up from automatic and habitual ways of thinking, reactivity as well as unconscious fears. It is an effective way to get in touch with your wisdom and vitality for life and become present to the richness of each moment you are alive.

This program offers you inner life skills for going within, deepening self awareness, attending thoughts carefully, cultivating consciusness, tending emotions, uncovering insight, exploring values, finding meaning, tending choices and change, strengthening your skills and confidence for living.

Past participants have reported as their practice develops and strengthens it helps them "manage pain and stress, develop personal insight, be less reactive, enjoy greater choice, approach their life with increasing joy and satisfaction."
