Life Synergy Natural Medicine - BURLEIGH

Welcome to Life Synergy Natural Medicine - BURLEIGH

By using a gentle style of acupuncture, combined with massage, reiki and Chinese herbs, my aim is to harmonise your body, calm your mind and improve your wellbeing.

Areas of special expertise are:
  • women’s health
  • tension/stress related syndromes
  • anxiety andd depression
  • weight loss

Having come from a Chinese family, Jonathan has learnt to live and embrace the Taoist philosophy of ‘being present’, known commonly as ‘living in the moment’. Over time he has found the more in tune he is physically, the better he feels mentally and spiritually. Treatments provided are intended to create the same outcome. Jonathan decided to become a Traditional Chinese Practitioner not only to help others feel better, but also to help them understand themselves better.

Acupuncture

The ancient Chinese believed that there is a universal life energy called Chi or Qi present in every living creature.

This energy is said to circulate throughout the body along specific pathways that are called meridians. As long as this energy flows freely throughout the meridians, health is maintained, but once the flow of energy is blocked, the system is disrupted and pain and illness occur. Imagine rivers that flood and cause disasters or an electrical grid short-circuiting that causes blackouts.

Herbal Medicine

After diagnosing a pattern of disharmony and administering acupuncture treatments, a doctor of TCM often writes an herbal formula from over a thousand common herbal formulas or from more effective traditional family formulas.

Herbal medicine has a long history in the Orient dating back to the 5th Century BC.

Chinese Herbal Medicine complements acupuncture by providing the nourishing support for the energetic “re-programming” and “re-balancing” efforts of acupuncture.

Massage

Tui Na (pronounced tu ai na) is a bodywork therapy that was developed in China over 2,000 years ago. The Tui Na system incorporates techniques similar to chiropractic, osteopathic and physical therapy, in the form of acupressure, massage and bodywork. The work is done entirely with the practitioner’s hands to help increase the beneficial flow of Qi through the patients meridian system.

Various hand techniques and stretching are used to restore correct anatomical musculoskeletal relationships and neuromuscular patterns, as well as increase the circulation of Qi and blood to eliminate biochemical irritants.

Exercise and Lifestyle Advice

Our practitioners are qualified to design an additional exercise program that may help to further improve any musculoskeletal issues you may have.

We can help with a number of ways to achieve your optimum health, including: meditation, yoga, qi gong.

Diet/Nutrition Advice & Support

In the course of treatment, additional factors - such as diet - might be relevant and helpful in improving your current health outside of the treatments.
