Svaroopa (R) Yoga ...
is gentle, therapeutic and deliciously blissful.
This style of Hatha yoga specialises in the inner opening.
Each class includes guided awareness, breathing and yoga poses.
Svaroopa Yoga though offers a slightly different approach. It emphasises the subtle but powerful release of tensions in your body starting with asanas (poses) sequenced to release initially the tailbone, then progressing upwards through each area of your spine. When you open your spine in this way, it has a wonderful therapeutic effect. However, more importantly, it helps to quiet your mind. When your mind becomes quiet, then you experience the bliss of your own being = Svaroopa! or your true Self.

Embodyment Yoga Therapy is a safe, gentle, amazingly effective and simple hands-on therapeutic technique based on the principles of Svaroopa Yoga as taught by Swami Nirmalananda Saraswati (formerly known as Rama Berch).
This gentle style of yoga and therapy emphasises releasing tension from the body by bringing awareness to the tightest areas of your body, starting at the tailbone, and allowing these changes to progress up the spine. The release of these deep tensions in the body promotes a process of healing and transformation: relieving many painful physical conditions; improving overall body function and general health; as well as leaving you feeling blissfully relaxed and wonderfully rejuvenated.
One Embodyment Therapy session gives you the spinal opening equivalent to attending 5 or 6 Svaroopa Yoga classes.
