Who Can Do Yoga?

Yoga allows you to start at any stage in your life. You don't have to be young, fit or supple. You start where you feel comfortable as Yoga is non competitive. You learn to listen to the needs of your body, progressing at your own pace.
Yoga is about your health and wellbeing, making time to nurture the body, mind and emotions. The gentle postures, breathing techniques and relaxation will make you feel more energised, calm and relaxed.
Meditation classes are held on the second Friday of each month except during School Holidays.
What to expect from your Yoga Class?
Yoga Postures (Asanas)
Hatha Yoga is a gentle way of stretching your body. Working at your own pace while listening to the needs of your body. As Yoga is non-competitive it is important not to force or over stretch. Move gently into the posture and experience what is happening within.
Breathing Practices (Pranayama)
Breathing practices assist in calming the mind and decreasing tension. Concentration improves so you can become more focused. This also helps to prepare the mind and body for relaxation.
Relaxation
Deep relaxation allows the body to rest so that natural healing can take place. After this practice you will feel calm, relaxed and more energised.
