"What is Reiki?"

Reiki is an invitation to wellness and clarity in your life. Reiki "The Usui System of Natural Healing" is an ancient Healing Art discovered by Dr Mikao Usui and is practiced and respected throughout the world today. Reiki is a 'laying on of hands' healing technique and is celebrated as "A GIFT OF LOVE".

Reiki is pronounced 'Ray - Key' and is a Japanese word when translated means "UNIVERSAL LIFE FORCE ENERGY".

VERSE = SONG

The 'Rei' in Reiki means one song, one tune, one vibration. It is the pulse of the vibration of the Divine, The Creator or what YOU feel in your heart to be true for You. The 'Ki' in Reiki means your OWN ENERGY and Your own individual vibration.

Reiki means the bringing together of the Divine vibration of Life with the individual's personal and physical vibration. A union with the Divine or Life Force Energy.

Reiki may become a 'Way of Living' that develops on all levels of the human psyche through the belief of positive intentions of healing Yourself and keeping yourself well. Through individual practice, Reiki energy allows the wholeness of a person to emerge in a state of Calm and Peace.

Focused on the here and now, Spiritual and Holistic Counselling is a person centered approach that holds the belief that everyone carries with them the ability to make decisions, resolve issues and become EMPOWERED in a way most relevant to their own uniqueness and by their own choices. Counselling is held within a comfortable & safe environment where an individual or couple may disclose personal issues, thoughts and feelings in a secure and confidential setting.

My name is Frances Tyson and I thank you for visiting my website. I have cared about humanity and all that is natural since I was very young. I was born in London, England and traveled with my family to live in Canada. It was then that I made a conscious decision to explore my sensitivity and natural empathy that I felt so deeply for others. I returned to England as an adult, and successfully studied for the City & Guilds of London Institute - Community Care Practice Certificate.

In the early 90's my family and I came to Western Australia and settled in Perth. I further studied for 4 years and was successful in obtaining a Bachelor of Social Work Degree. Additionally, I studied for the Advanced Diploma in Herbal Medicine - Western & Chinese - which encompassed natural therapies of Massage, Iridology, Flower Essences, Bach Flower Remedies, Meditation & Yoga. My life's journey became one of spiritual discovery, by receiving attunements in Reiki Levels 1 and 2. In addition to establishing my private practice of REIKI, I worked as a Counsellor and Senior Social Worker in Child Protection, Mental Health and for the Department of Health Western Australia, (in hospitals), for a period of 15 years. During that time I studied for the Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychology.

It was later that I received the Masters Degree in REIKI - the "Usui Tradition of Natural Healing" which has enhanced my life and that of many others. I hold strong professional ethics and values of respect, compassion, non-judgmental attitude, client self-determination and confidentiality.

My professional attributes include - positive thinking, solution focused brief therapy, advocacy, mediation and a great sense of humor and a positive outlook on life!
