SERVICES

Welcome to Lotus Touch Remedial Massage

Relaxing Full Body Massage Swedish Style

If you just want a very simple, relaxing, balancing full body massage that feels great, gets your circulation going, and relaxes while re-energising you, then I recommend the classic full body Swedish massage. This is also very good when recovering from recent illnesses and some surgeries.

After experiencing a full body massage you will feel like you are walking on a cloud!

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage is a holistic therapeutic modality which offers a wide range of massage styles such as deep tissue, Swedish, and trigger point therapy. It is a non-intrusive therapy which applies pressure, massages, kneads and stretches the body’s muscles and soft tissues with palms, fingers, thumbs and sometimes elbows and fists.

A remedial massage is tailored to the clients needs and may range from an invigorating massage of the more superficial layers of the muscle which promotes fluid circulation, to the slow moving release and unwinding of deep muscular holding patterns.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Although we do not advocate “no pain, no gain” sometimes using stronger pressure within your pain tolerance can be beneficial.

It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points, also known as myofascial trigger points, are areas of hyperirritability in the soft tissue structure. These can be acute sources of pain or latent, unnoticed by the client until pressure is applied to these points.

Trigger points are manifested as small contraction knots in the muscles, that control the state of contraction and active ones may cause muscle spasm and referred pain.

Yoga Massage

Yoga massage is given on a thick mattress on the floor with hands and feet stroking the body.

Yoga massage uses special techniques (stretches, tractions, torsions, pressures points, positional release…) to eliminate abnormal joint and muscle tensions and to correct and realign one’s posture.
