Welcome to Luminous Life
The concept for Luminous Life was created from the idea that everyone deserves to reach their full potential in life - whatever they choose that to be.
For every person this is different - some of us want to help others, some of us want to achieve great things in sport, or at work, some of us want to simply relax and enjoy the things around us. Whatever you would like to do in your life - we believe its possible! It may seem hard sometimes, and trust me, we've all been there. But ultimately, we believe that if you can clear away any obstacles in your path you will achieve all the things you dream of, and even more.
Luminous Life's philosophy is built on the understanding that we create the life we live. So if there are obstacles, we can learn to release them, even when they seem insurmountable.
How do we do this?
There are many tools and techniques available to help anyone who wishes to improve their life - so many that it can sometimes be hard to know what to try and what will suit you. It is for this reason that we have created this website.... to try to help those we come in contact with to find whatever it is that suits them.
Kinesiology and Qi Gong
Kinesiology is one tool that helps to clear these obstacles, and travel forward to the life we really want to lead - a luminous life!
Kinesiology
Kinesiology (Kin-easy-ology), as a therapy, originated in the 1960’s, combining aspects of Eastern philosophies with Western methodologies to promote physical, emotional and mental well being.
Eastern theories of energetic systems in the body, such as meridian systems, are utilized in a way that is often likened to the methodologies surrounding acupuncture and shiatzu. Western methods of working with anatomy and physiology combine with these Eastern philosophies to produce an effective and efficient holistic approach to dealing with imbalances in the body on many levels.
Qi Gong
Qi Gong is an ancient traditional Chinese healthcare system that works through the use of breathing techniques, focussed intention and physical postures. The movements are similar in nature to those used in the practice of Tai Chi, and are known for their relaxation and healing properties.
Specific exercises can be used to progress healing of particular areas of the body, and regular Qi Gong practice involving a variety of exercises can help to maintain a strong healthy body and a relaxed mind. Qi Gong is a very gentle, low impact exercise, suitable for people of all ages and physical conditions. This ancient method has been known to have a powerful impact on chronic conditions, as well as providing a means to prevent illness and disease.
About us
Suzanne has always followed her dreams passionately, putting her heart and dedication into everything she considered important to her. Whilst studying a Bachelor of Science, with a double major in Computer Science and Psychology, Suzanne also trained as a competitive Latin and Ballroom dancer. Upon leaving Uni, Suzanne moved from South Australia to Melbourne to further her dancing career. At the age of 26 Suzanne left dancing, wanting to pursue other areas of her life. This enabled her to progress her career in the corporate world, starting as a Personal Assistant, and moving on to become a respected IT Consultant, eventually moving to a permanent position in a global company as their Information Security Controllership Leader.
At that time she was suffering migraines, sometimes 2 or 3 a week - and after being told that they were stress related and there was nothing that the doctors could do other than prescribe increasingly strong painkillers, Suzanne went to see a kinesiologist recommended by a friend. The migraines stopped a few weeks later, and Suzanne's dedication to Kinesiology began. Determined to change her career path and wanting to work in an area that could bring others the power to excell in their own lives, Suzanne spent 4 years studying to reach Advanced Diploma level as a Professional Kinesiology Practitioner in Melbourne.
During this time Suzanne's business as a Kinesiologist grew rapidly, as she juggled her career in Information Security with her growing business as a Kinesiologist, whilst at the same time studying.
After a brief stint in Sydney with her husband's work, Suzanne and her young family have relocated to Adelaide and Luminous Life is now based in leafy Stirling in the Adelaide Hills. QUALIFICATION DETAILS
