IN-HOUSE LAUGHTER YOGA SESSIONS
“Laughter Yoga is a revolutionary idea – simple and profound. An exercise routine, it is sweeping the world and is a complete wellbeing workout.” Dr Madhan Kataria, founder of the laughter yoga movement. In Laughter Yoga, we do laughter exercises, called 'fake it till you make it' which quickly become spontaneous laughter. We also get in touch with our inner child and simply have fun, experiencing joy and upliftment.

Isabel Behncke says, "Play is our adaptive wildcard. In order to adapt successfully to a changing world we need to play. In times when it may seem least appropriate to play, might be the times when it is most urgent. Play is not frivolous, it is essential".

Life Coaching Testimonial
I am currently doing a course and it required of me to do a placement in a particular job setting and I was very nervous and apprehensive about it.
During this time I was lucky to have Lynette Mitchell counselling me. Her counselling skills are very good as she is so intuitive and caring. My placement turned out to be a huge success and I know I have Lynette Mitchell to thank for helping me get through it. I recommend her as a holistic living counsellor to anyone who wants to improve their life.

Life Coaching Testimonial
I did five life coaching sessions with Lynette, which was good, light, friendly and I liked her softness and warmth. Yes indeed, I felt very comfortable with Lynttee, it did me good – I needed help. The Teacher Appeared, The Pupil Was Ready. I talked a lot and Lynne had great patience with me. She has a special gift – it’s love and warmth, the Being, ‘Being there’.
Thanks Lynne.
Maree, Brighton.

Life Coaching Testimonial
I was in a very dark place and suffered from severe depression. With attending Lynne’s personal and spiritual development classes together with my determination to get better, my life changed dramatically for the best. Lynne is a very caring and intuitive person, always able to tailor her meditations specifically to suit my needs. In a non threatening environment I was able to unburden myself and given strategies to help see things in a different more positive light. I wholeheartedly recommend her classes to anyone who wants to improve their life.

How to Coach Yourself to Harmlessness

Harmlessness, does that mean lying down and being passive, not causing trouble, or could it be about actively avoiding causing harm at any cost? Are you open to consider the subject of harmlessness in a completely new and different light? Then let us begin the positive habit of being a coach to oneself of harmlessness!

To not cause harm has been bandied about, we have possibly picked up from other people’s beliefs tied in with a particular religion, that to live in this way is a paramount belief to foster. We can take on beliefs, make them our own, make them a habit without reviewing our life and attitudes in it.

Do not stand on an ant, or you become a vegetarian for instance. That is all very well; however is the attitude coming from a fear based reason, say from the head rather than the heart? Or when from a narrow viewpoint, you can be eating vegetables, thanking the food in an unbalanced manner? Your behaviour may become extreme and I believe that harmlessness is frequently used out of context, rather than in an integrated, loving way.

This article is from the point of view of harm towards oneself. How you treat yourself, your daily habits, the general nurturing that you do for other people, whether it be your partner, children or other members of the family or outsiders. Sometimes it is so easy to follow wonderful principles of not causing harm and we do this for others and forget about ourselves.

This could relate to your diet, exercise, hobbies and work. It could be about books that you read, television shows you watch, whether they are scary, funny, uplifting and informative. There are numerous ways of taking care of yourself and I believe that care giving to yourself is a great preventative medicine, as well as things that you take in the form of a healthy diet, vitamins and so on.

What you feed your emotions, mind and spirit are equally as important as to what you feed your body either from food or feed in through your five basic senses.

It is dishonouring yourself to focus on looking outside of you and then to forget that if you are not as well, strong and balanced as you can be to begin with, then over time you will become weaker and succumb to dis-ease. The well known bible saying that ‘charity begins at home’ may be applied firstly to yourself.
When you put others’ needs before your own, especially because of not having enough time, ask yourself is this really what you want? If the answer is ‘no’ you can change this if you choose to. Life is running at such a pace and you can put things off, especially for yourself. You make lists of things to do and things that you want to do, without prioritising. When you do the most urgent, they may not, in fact, be the most important. It is important to make an appointment with yourself to do something that you love, both for your self expression and to not feel dry, that life has become meaningless.

I invite you to spend the next twenty minutes or so to make a list. First sit where you will not be disturbed for half an hour and breathe. Feel yourself relaxing as you breathe and connect with your heart. Next write down a list of the things you have done that have been nice, caring and special for yourself in the last week. You may discover that your list is bare, barren! You had great intentions to spend time doing something for yourself and somehow other things got in the way, it did not happen. Again.

You are your own creator and I urge you to take this opportunity to make a different list. This will be of things that you would like to do. It can be several lists if you wish to break them down for practicality. Such as a daily, weekly or say, a three monthly list of desires and goals. Make it realistic and achievable, starting with something that is comparatively easy, which will set the new, beneficial habit of success towards harmlessness towards yourself on the right track.

Good luck with this exercise, as to succeed with it, you must first recognise that you are important and do need to nurture yourself on every level. And then you have to choose to have the right intention to carry this through into your daily life, to make it a habit. Habits take time to concrete, so be patient with yourself and know that absolutely and positively, YOU ARE WORTH IT!

    SPIRITUAL AND WORLDLY NETWORKING
    Part 1
Have you ever seriously considered networking and what it means? Someone once told me that they loved to network and at first I thought they meant being in Amway or that it was somewhat like pyramid selling.

We can network on many levels and the purpose of this article is to open you to new ways to network. To network means to help each other or to create win-win situations. We bandy around the word “network”, and the truth is that each one of us is not an island and we can and do benefit from developing certain liaisons.

There is a germ of truth, something that resonates deeply, at the basis of every religion and in every spiritual group. Can we allow others their beliefs while holding to our own, each person contributing to a ‘whole life’ picture, like a great jigsaw? I believe the answer is yes, if we embrace and embody tolerance.
Networking can simply apply in our family where each member helps another with certain skills and gifts. Chunking up a little from that, it may be when friends, neighbours and family members recommend someone to you when you are looking for a plumber or hairdresser. We are all serving and being served in a multitude of ways.

How open are you to being helped and to helping or serving others? Have you ever found some new idea, service or product, and felt it is the best thing since sliced bread and you want to share it with everyone you meet? I think we all have, sometimes with a little too much zeal, because we want to support and make it stronger, don't we?

Networking in your business helps you grow in worldly and spiritual abundance. Networking is ideal when it benefits all parties and is ethical. Be open to forming relationships with other people, either in the same, or a complimentary business line as you. You can cross-promote your services, for example using flyers, business cards, or a website link. Write an article to be included with other people in a magazine or co-author a book. You might write an article or information to be included on a website or monthly newsletter. You could co-host an event, in person, online, or via teleconference. The internet is an extraordinary method to network and grow. Many forms of communication are possible with the technologies we now have available.

Having a positive networking attitude and relationships helps you to keep on track and ever increase your circle of influence. It is also fun to attend events with others from your circle and support each other. On a deep level we are all connected.

Finishing off, I invite you to put pen to paper or fingers to the keyboard and brainstorm some notes as an introspective exercise to feel into whether there are some areas lacking in your networking communications. Following that, make a list of priorities as to which would be the most beneficial to apply yourself to, without procrastinating. Be open to the exercise showing your weak points. You may need to be more serious about using it to build your business or to follow up with contacts you meet. Perhaps you have been too focused on your business and have let the side down of private relationships, not being open to everyday matters.

You will be glad that you did this exercise when results start to happen and until then, keep your focus light and bright on the goal ahead. Good luck and thanks for listening.

    Part 2
Following from Spiritual and Worldly Networking, this article deals with the spiritual side of networking. Mother Earth, or Gaia as she is commonly known, needs all the support and help she can get. What can you do to contribute to helping our beloved Earth Mother today? We can all help by not judging situations that occur on the planet that we might call ‘negative’ and instead hold a vision and feeling of how it could be different. Our judgments uphold the calamities and conflicts. Whereas holding a positive vision puts ‘positive’ energies, thought forms, into the Akashic records. For those who do not know this term, Akashic records are made up of energetic, holographic records of all that has happened and will happen on the planet. Ultimately, if enough of us network and all hold a positive vision, then when individuals look for inspiration and solutions they will dip into the Akashic records and draw upon these positive energies.
Here is a simple exercise that increases your awareness to support yourself and others, which I call Networking Circles of Support. It is based on a holistic counselling process.

Start with two blank pages. On both pages draw a circle in the middle and then overlapping circles around this centre, and then another layer of circles beyond that layer. On the first page, write your name in the centre circle and in the outer circles write down the names of people, groups, associations that support your life. The circles closer into your circle contain the people who have the greatest influence on you and the ones further out have a lesser supporting influence. The purpose of this exercise is to give you a feeling of gratitude and appreciation for all the people in your life. It can also show you where you need to put more energy into communication to build greater rapport.

On the second page of circles place yourself in an outside circle. Feel how you support others? Write the names of the people or organisations who you assist. They could be partners, family, business associates, charities, and so on. The closer circles are ones that you support more intimately, perhaps on a daily level. The ones further away could be, for example, people you read or hear about who you give les frequent support. Or perhaps support through a donation or simply send loving thoughts or prayer to.

This exercise gives you a feeling for where and how you use your energy. You may on reflection choose to alter your circles of network and support. Or it could give you inspiration to do something that you have wanted to do and have not as yet got around to doing. So, don't just think about it, do it now!

I wish you well and increased success and enlightenment.
