Laser Acupuncture utlizes LLLT.
What is LLLT?
Low level laser therapy is a painless, sterile, non-evasive, drug-free treatment which is used to treat a variety of pain syndromes, injuries, fractures, neurological conditions and other acute and chronic conditions. Laser therapy can be used to control pain, when conventional therapies have been ineffective, or when the acceleration of healing from injuries is desired.
Around the world, laser therapy is rapidly becoming a medical therapy that can heal wounds and fractures up to 60% faster and also reduce the cost of treatment for many conditions. In the U.K., low level laser therapy has become the treatment of choice for soft tissue whiplash injuries and for the treatment of shingles, a very painful neuralgia.
Low-level lasers supply energy to the body in the form of non-thermal photons of light. Light is transmitted through the skin's layers (the dermis, epidermis and the subcutaneous layers under the skin) at all wavelengths in the visible range. When low level laser light waves penetrate deeply into the skin, a number of biochemical processes are believed to occur:
Laser therapy is quite passive. There are no creams, gels or ointments that need to be applied prior to treatment.
Following (and even during) a laser therapy session, approximately 75-80% of patients being treated can notice an immediate improvement in their condition. This will depend primarily on the type of condition and the length of time the condition has been present.
Laser therapy is completely safe and there are no side effects.
Reflexology

Deep Massager
Our Deep Vibro Massager is a hand unit that we place on your back, arms, or legs, wherever there is soreness and it sends a vibrating feeling through your body. Starting the strength of the unit at a soft low setting and then increasing the intensity .
This mobilises toxins and proteins in your body. This form of massage moves the blood circlation through the body. This releases a pale fluid that bathes tissues of the organism, maintaining fluid balance and removes bateria from tissues; it enters the blood system by the way of lymphatic channels and duets.
We combine both Shiatsu massage techniques and Swedish massage techniques, giving the patient a enjoyable and relaxing experience.
Shiatsu literally means "finger pressure" it also can involve elbows, stretching and heat application. It involves the application of pressure along the energy pathways on the body.
Using 3 principles:
- Perpendicular Pressure
- Moving with the breath
- Two hands on at all times
Swedish is using more of the slow and gentle movements. The swedish style that we use is more to help relaxe the patient and help remove knotts out of the body and relieve stiffness. Depending on the patients pain threshold, will depend on how deep our therapists will go.
Combining both of these techniques gives YOU, the patient, a much more benefical massage for your body.
Emu Oil
Emu oil capsules does not cure diabetes. Emu oil does not make the pancreas produce insulin.
However, when taken internally in either liquid or capsule form, Emu Oil does dissolve LDL (so called bad cholesterol) throughout the body.
Due to the ability of this oil to dissolve LDL, approximately 55% of type 2 diabetics (so called insulin resistant diabetes) and approx 40% of Type 1 diabetics (insulin dependent diabetes) will benefit from taking Emu Oil.
How it works?
For the diabetics, their elevated blood sugar levels are due the presence of LDL everywhere: arteries, between cells and block the cellular receptors. This prevents the insulin produced by pancreas from being able to send the glucose through the cellular walls.
Emu oil does not break down the blood sugar, but, its ability of dissolving the layer of fat coating the cellular walls and receptors allows the blood to process blood sugar more efficiently.
Emu oil is particularly effective in controlling the ill effects of diabetes.
By taking 2 Emu Omega 369 capsules, three times per day (or, 1 teaspoon 5ml of Emu oil), the LDL and blood sugar levels will drop remarkably.
The cholestrol lowering action can be observed as soon as from 5th days to 21 days. Within 3 to 6 weeks, relief from severe symptoms like numbness of extremities and cramps will be felt. For those suffer from high LDL, a reduction of serum cholesterol reading after 3~4 months is expected.
Recommendation:
7 days prior to taking Emu Oil capsules, record your blood sugar levels before breakfast each day. Divide the total weekly reading by 7 thus giving an average daily blood sugar level.
Then commence the daily dosage of Emu Oil capsules. Continue to take the daily readings and collate the weekly average blood sugar fluctuations.
For most of the diabetics, a reduction of the mean daily average is observed within 2~6 weeks.
Two weeks after the average blood sugar levels drop, the dosage may then be reduced to 1~3 capsules daily or half a teaspoon (2.5ml) of oil. This shall suffix to maintain the general well being of the body.
No Known Contra-Indication
There are no known contra-indications with the use of Omega 369 Oil of Emu capsules.
The outstanding anti-inflammatory properties of emu Oil may also benefit those suffer from inflammatory conditions, including arthritis, psoriasis and eczema.
Electro Stimulation
This therapy is Electric Acupuncture. Providing a electrical stimulation to a problem area that normal Acupuncture is not as successful and can stimulate and penetrate deeper into the body. This opens the channels of the body and enhances the trigger points.
The device serves as a accurate point locator with audiovisual signal variable skin sensitivity control. Using either the (Tonify + or Disperse) button it allows reversal of current flow. This proceedure maybe less painful as the acupuncture, but it does send through a electrical pulse into the body.
Herbal Medicine
Herbal therapy is also a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and has existed in an organized form for about 3000 years. The field of herbal therapy continues to grow today to meet the vast challenges we see in the variety and types of illnesses. Often times modern science is combined with ancient formulas to enhance the effectiveness of herbal therapy.
Herbal therapy involves using all natural, complex herbal formulas that are prescribed by an Acupuncture professional. These herbal formulas cannot be found in any health food stores. Herbs can be used alone or in conjunction with Acupuncture. The herbs used at the Acupuncture for People & Pets Clinic are of the highest quality. They are safe, effective, and made in Australia
Pets
Just like us, our four legged friends get sore too. Having problems like back pain, muscle tears, liver problems, stomach issues, bones come out of place and much more.
Dogs
Our pet dogs, even though you may not think it, do get sore jumping off furniture, playing at grooming salons, chasing toys, or just running in the wrong way. These things can do a lot of damage to their backs, legs, neck etc. Causing alot of pain without you, the owner, being aware of it.
Using a different approach to treating these problems the Chinese and Japanese thought that if Acupuncture was so good for us Humans, then why won't it be good for their pets.
Horses
Being used in movies, arena spectaculars, eventing, show jumping, farm work and much more around the world, horses have been leterally "putting their backs into it". Most of the issues are seen to by a vet, but sometimes that doesn't always work. Horses generally are too polite to say any thing, meaning they don't always tell us (the owner) whether or not they are sore. Horses tend to not show pain to us because in the wild a slight limp would be easy prey to predators.
If a horses muscle flinches when you touch it, that is a sure sign of pain. Horses muscles get sore like ours do, they show their pain in different ways some by bitting, throwing their head, limping or flinching. They tell us how they are feeling through their body language.
The most important part is to learn how to stop and listen to your horse.
Sometimes using gentler means of treatment is much better for your pet.
