Toyohari Acupuncture
Toyohari is a powerful therapeutic system for both preventing disease and maintaining health. It differs from most other forms of acupuncture in that it uses gentle yet effective treatment methods, placing great emphasis on the use of pulse diagnosis and palpation skills. Toyohari needling is ’contact needling’, where a silver filament (needle) or probe is held over the skin without touching it. No discomfort is experienced.
The Acupuncture Way is to live harmoniously so that disease is prevented in the first place.
Common complaints such as headaches, arthritis, neuralgia are readily treatable, as well as disorders of the internal organs such as the liver, heart, kidneys and pancreas. Toyohari treatment is also effective for fevers, coughs, eyes, ears, nose and skin afflictions, bruises, sprains and essentially children’s disorders.
This form of acupuncture can be used in conjunction with or without conventional medicine to enhance any healing capacities. It also aids the process of transporting nutrients to the cells. Pain, whether acute or chronic often responds dramatically.
Please Note: Children from birth to the age of 10 can also be successfully treated with Toyohari Acupuncture. This non-invasive method of stroking with specific instruments is not only soothing but enables very quick healing in children.

Japanese Acupuncture
Specific points are located by palpation and the patient verifies immediately the effect via a reflex point. It can be used to alter muscle tension, blood circulation, nerve function, hormone levels, organ functions, bone alignment, stress levels, reduce inflammation, any recovery before and after surgery and improve immunity.
Is it safe?
Acupuncture filaments are pre-sterilised, individually packed, and disposable. They are used and discarded of safely after each treatment, so that there is no danger of infection from them. Generally after an acupuncture treatment one experiences a sense of being relaxed, light and often with clarity of mind.
What is a treatment like? How many treatments will I need?
Treatment is holistic and begins with careful assessment of your whole system using diagnoses based on the pulse, including gently palpating the abdomen, the sensitivity of acupuncture points and assessment of areas of the neck, lower leg or forearm. Major weaknesses or imbalances are identified and treated (Root Treatment). If the Root Treatment is insufficient to correct symptoms, “Symptomatic Treatment” is performed. Improvement in health from the Root Treatment enhances the effectiveness of Symptomatic Treatment.
After a treatment, one can feel calm and relaxed – this is a sign that the treatment has been effective. The efficacy of results depends upon the severity of the condition. The quickest results from Acupuncture can be when symptoms first occur. A course normally consists of 4 to 10 weekly treatments after this your condition will be reassessed. If things have stabilised and your condition has improved the sessions are spaced out, you may end up coming once every 4-8 weeks for continued health maintenance

Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal

Constitutional Facial Acupuncture is a safe, painless and effective treatment for renewing the face as well as the whole body. It is beneficial for prevention of wrinkles. Fine lines may be entirely erased, deeper lines reduced and bags around neck and eyes firmed. The practice of combining Constitutional Facial Acupuncture with Japanese Acupuncture enables the practitioner to not only enhance facial appearance but also to correct underlying core problems of the body.
Fine filaments(needles) are placed at a variety of acupuncture points on the face, neck and around the eyes to stimulate the body’s natural energies, or Qi. Since muscle groups are addressed as well as the acupuncture points, the face lifts itself, via the acupuncture points, through the muscles’ toning and tightening action. The filaments also stimulate blood and circulation, which improves facial colour.

Moxibustion
Along with Acupuncture, the application of Moxibustion is also used for treatment. Moxa is the dried form of a herb more commonly known as Mugwort. When applied to the acupoints, its warming and invigorating properties penetrate deep under the skin and activate the channels. Both acupuncture and Moxibustion have a similar effect in removing blockages in the meridian pathways.
There are 3 forms of applications of Moxibustion.
1. Warming Moxibustion (Onkyu)
Moxibustion includes methods whereby a rice grain size moxa is placed on an acupoint and is burnt directly on the skin but removed before it reaches the skin, once it gets warm. Generally this method is used to warm the surrounding area.
2. Direct Moxibustion (Tonetsukyu)
The application of Tonetsukyu is as Warming Moxibustion. The size is of a sesame seed. With Tonetsukyu it is burnt directly to the skin, thus leaving a pin head size scar. This method encourages antigens to the area for accelerated natural healing to the body.
3. Moxa on the Needle Handle (Kyutoshin)
The Kyutoshin, or a needle on which moxa is burnt on the handle, has great warming, soothing and relaxing effect. It invigorates the movement of blood, decongesting painful areas. It is effective for treating chronic chills or pain in cases of chronic back pain since it has the ability to warm deep and wide in its surrounding areas.
Nambrudipad Allergy Elimination Treatments (NAET)
NAET is a breakthrough treatment which is a synthesis of chiropractic, kinesiology and acupuncture techniques to permanently desensitise people to all kinds of allergies. Clinical studies have demonstrated that it is by far the most successful and succinct treatment for the elimination of allergies. Our bodies can become sensitive or highly allergic to food substances, cosmetics, chemicals and atmospheric pollution. When an allergen enters or contacts the body, there is a clash between the electromagnetic energy field of the allergy sufferer and the allergen. This creates energy blockages in the body. If the blockages continue, as is the case when the body is consistently exposed to allergens, more serious and entrenched problems can occur as the immune system becomes overloaded and compromised. Autoimmune problems can develop. NAET is the testing and treatment of allergy related blockages in the energy meridian.
How does it work?
NAET uses chiropractic techniques to stimulate the areas of the body that are connected to the blockages in the energy system. The concept of 12 primary channels (based on acupuncture meridians) and 2 governing vessels is how NAET works; the treatment with NAET diagnosis treats blockages in these primary channels (or energy meridians) in relationship to specific allergen. The method is very safe and effective and has an 80% success rate.
