Established in 2002, Metro Counselling is a specialist counselling and life consultancy service located in Perth, Western Australia. Metro Counselling operates from professional offices located in Duncraig and Mt Lawley, and provides a broad range of counselling services, as well as life coaching, mediation and hypnotherapy. We have assisted clients from culturally diverse backgrounds both in Australia and overseas. We support you whether in crisis, conflict or to explore and discuss positive new ways to handle life situations.

Ultimately, our aim is to leave you feeling empowered to achieve more, and ready to tackle new challenges with strength and confidence, no matter what your individual circumstances may be. Our professionally trained and highly experienced team are committed to providing you with a safe and supportive environment in which to undergo this process and operate under strict confidentiality.

Counselling
Our counselling services provide assistance to people all over the world and we have clients in the Perth metropolitan area, in regional areas, interstate and overseas.

We can provide support for a wide range of issues and your appointments are treated with complete confidentiality. Metro Counselling appointments are completely tailored around you and your needs and we also provide a range of programs to address various issues.

If you have not received counselling in the past, you may be unsure of what to expect. You can be assured you will experience a safe and supportive environment where you can discuss personal issues that matter to you. You will not be judged and your issues will be explored and worked through at a pace that feels comfortable to you.

At Metro Counselling, our aim is to work with you to address your concerns until we arrive at a place where you feel empowered and ready to tackle new challenges with strength and confidence.

In the unlikely event you are not satisfied with your appointment or do not feel your appointed counsellor is right for you, you will offered a second appointment with another member of our team at no additional cost, or provided with a full refund.

Relationships
The team at Metro Counselling are highly skilled and experienced at providing counselling services for couples experiencing difficulties in their relationship or marriage. They work with all aspects of the family unit including extended family, blended families, and those experiencing the painful process of a separation or divorce.

Metro Counselling always encourages couples and families to take a proactive approach to resolving any conflict within a partnership and to address matters before they become insurmountable. We have had considerable success providing support and counselling to families and relationships experiencing difficulties adjusting to the pressures arising from ‘fly-in fly-out’ work arrangements.

Kids and Teens
Metro Counselling provides counselling services for children of all ages including teens and young adults. Our sessions are conducted in a positive manner which is appropriate to the age of the child and sessions may be conducted with or without the attendance of the parents, depending on the nature of the issue. We can assist children, teens, parents or guardians to address the following:

• Domestic issues resulting for family separations and divorce


• Sexuality


• Self esteem issues


• Dealing with stress


• Eating disorders


• School or learning difficulties

Sessions for clients under the age of 18 are generally limited to 60 minutes.

Coaching
At Metro Counselling, we provide a coaching service for clients who want to take a proactive approach to their life or career. Our clients include a number of CEOs and people in senior positions who aspire to be the best they can be, and appreciate the opportunity to focus their energies to achieve their goals.

You don’t need to hold a high powered position to undertake coaching sessions, you might simply want to clarify your direction in life. Or you might have previously worked through an issue and are now looking to take a proactive approach in life. Whatever your reason, coaching sessions are a great way to maintain your focus and positive energy!

Metro Counselling was established in 2002 and is dedicated to providing the highest quality services to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients. Over the past eight years our team has grown to six counsellors plus clinic staff and we have provided support to hundreds of people in need including individuals, couples, families, children, teens, businesses and employees.

In addition to our professional qualifications and experience, Metro Counselling believes it is the empathy, interpersonal skills and commitment from every team member which resonates with clients and achieves results. A large percentage of our clients are referrals from our current or past clients and it is wonderful to see our clients are willing to recommend our friendly and flexible services to others.

At Metro Counselling we focus on empowering our clients and many people who come to us for counselling services have returned at a later date for coaching or on an ad hoc basis because they recognise the power of positivity, support and direction in their lives.

Given the team’s extensive range of skills, we can provide a wide range of counselling services. However, if there is a service we cannot provide, we will source and recommend the appropriate contact for you. We work closely with many organisations and allied professionals within the Perth community to give clients access to the best possible options and resources.

Every member of our team has been carefully selected for their demonstrated empathy and interpersonal skills, as well as their ample life experience in order to provide real strategies and tools. Each of these qualities is an essential requirement for building trust and rapport with clients, enabling you to take control of your issues and move forward in a positive way.

Our counsellors and psychologists are appropriately qualified and regularly undertake professional development as well as maintain membership to approved professional associations in order to retain their high levels of industry expertise and standards.

We strive to match clients to the most appropriate professional according to individual needs and will make an appointment for you within 1-2 working days. Our online booking process gives you an opportunity to view and select your preferred counsellor prior to making your first appointment.
