Mindful Magic Meditation Program

I am so proud to present a guided meditation program that soothes the mind, rests the body and connects with one’s powerful subconscious. After teaching meditation for many years I found that the “silent solitude” form of meditation was difficult and ineffective for me as I recovered from the trauma of cancer. I wanted more, a program that removed the mental debris, cleared the mind, boosted the immune system and allowed me to be filled with positive thoughts and peace of mind.
After much research and world-wide travel, I found a combination that completely worked, and has now helped so many wanting to connect the body and mind for improved health and tranquillity, also those wanting to alleviate anxiety and depression by reducing fear and stress. My program combines three proven techniques, all simple to learn and use daily.

FOCUSED BREATHING

A method developed at the University of Massachusetts as the prestigious Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program. By focusing on the breath you learn how to deepen and expand your natural breathing bringing calm to both body and mind. Coming to a state of stillness is a treasure in a world moving at lightening-speed. No drugs or expensive equipment, just relax using what is right under your nose!

COMPLETE MUSCLE RELAXATION

A guided body muscle relaxation that changes physical and emotional responses to stress. Dr. Herbert Benson (Harvard Medical School) introduced this simple, effective, approach thirty years ago. Millions have since learned this method, which is acknowledged by health care professionals and recommended to treat patients suffering from heart conditions, high blood pressure, trauma, chronic pain, insomnia, and other physical ailments. Easy to learn, this technique is an effective way to relieve the stress of modern-day living for a richer, healthier, more enjoyable life.

YOGA NIDRA

An ancient yogic practice which is now being seen as a therapy of the future. During this practice you are guided in rotating your awareness slowly through the body, encouraging total mind and body relaxation. Affirmations are created by you and given to your potent sub-conscious mind. Through Yoga Nidra great positive changes in well-being begin and continue. It is not physical exercise, you lie on the floor or sit in a chair and listen to my voice, guiding you to a state called psychic sleep, rather like being between awake and asleep. A session of Yoga Nidra is said to be equal to about three hours sleep. Beware however, it is very addictive!!!!

Scientific studies show that practicing all three techniques boosts the immune system, reduces blood pressure and pain, relieves depression and anxiety and then creating physical, emotional and mental well-being.

The benefits of meditation cannot be over-estimated, it is one of the most thoughtful gifts you can give yourself. The hour you allocate for self nurturing brings you in touch with a place of peace, free of tension and stress whilst having fun.

Classes are held at:

LONG POINT – a beautiful small rural suburb next to Ingleburn – Monday 1:30pm, Wednesday 7pm Other classes are planned soon. $10 per class

NARELLAN - Monday 7:15-8:15pm Forte School of Music, 2/2 George Hunter Drive – near the intersection of Narellan Road and Camden Valley Way, opposite Caltex Service Station. $10 per class

Private sessions available combining meditation and the positive suggestions of hypnotherapy to help with self-esteem, self confidence, life balance etc $35 per session. .
