Pilates

Pilates is a fairly new approach to exercise in comparison to yoga or tai chi. Pilates works by first of all building awareness of, then control of, muscles too often overlooked in regular training programmes. Pilates is as much of a tool for self- discovery as it is for increasing postural (core) strength. Once having established some level of core stability we start to move into mobilising the body with that new found awareness and control. If you are looking for more body awareness as well as relief from poor posture and its associated aches and pains Pilates might just be the thing for you.

Benefits
  • Relieve your back pain
  • Build core strength
  • Develop excellent awareness of your body
  • Alleviates aches and pains

Private Pilates Sessions

Mason provides Private Pilates Sessions that combine mat work and reformer exercises. These sessions allow Mason to focus on your individual problem areas and develop exercises that are specific to you and your needs.

Pilates Classes

Mason has been providing mat classes for the people of Hobart for five years now and has developed a unique class that includes all participants. He is well aware of how to ensure you get personal attention and is keeping his classes to a maximum of 8 people. Come along and find out what keeps people wanting more of his classes. (Bookings are essential and all equipment is provided).

Time: Check out the timetable below and book into any class at any time. There are no restrictions on which classes you can attend each week.

Clients who have not worked with Mason before are required to attend a 30 minute consultation before joining a class.

(Some people may require more than one consultation to develop enough understanding to join the classes)

Testimonial

"Mason has been helping me for four years, helping my body to stay flexible and strong, and able to cope with the strains of bushwalking. And more than cope - repair damage accumulated from decades of neglect. He integrates deep knowledge of several disciplines, pays attention to detail and is guided by sensitivity to individual needs." - Ken, Mt Nelson
