Jocelyn Carter - principle therapist at Moonhawk Healing Natural Therapies.
I have been working in the field of natural therapies since 1999. My business is Moonhawk Healing Natural Therapies - my practice is homebased, located a short distance from Canberra.
My interest in natural medicine developed when western medicine failed to provide me with the health care solutions I needed at the time. I turned to a herbalist, who, through trial and error, was able to develop a health care regime that suited my individual needs and led to a steady improvement in my health - I was hooked! I am forever grateful to Michelle Kirby for her kindness, insight and encouragement.
I started my natural therapy life as a massage therapist, added essential oils, and then herbal medicine. I completed my Advanced Diploma in Western Herbal Medicine and began practising as a medicinal herbalist and phyto therapist. I hold a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Complimentary Medicine). I work to improve patients' health through the use of herbs, essential oils, nutritional supplements and lifestyle changes.
I am also a Reiki Master.
I am accredited with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society, the National Herbalists Association of Australia, the International Aromatherapy and Aromatic Medicine Association, the Australian Reiki Connection, and the International Association of Reiki Professionals.
