About Us
Muscle Focus was first established in 1991.
Raelene Clark B.Sc. undertook a hands-on clinical training in myofascial pain and dysfunction with Myomed in Osborne Park. Myofascial pain experts were brought from the USA to work at Myomed and instruct local therapists and doctors in the clinical application of myofascial therapy techniques. Those American experts were Dr Ben Daitz, Nancy Shaw, Susan Alvord, Alice Friedley and Tim Sawyer.
During that time, the stretch exercise videos of Nancy Shaw were filmed and Raelene appeared on these videos demonstrating the piriformis stretch. Raelene was very fortunate to learn from these mentors and devised her own brand of myofascial treatment incorporating the Bonnie Pruden myotherapy approach and the Travell and Simons stretch and spray technique.
