About Us
The College of Nepean Natural Therapeutics was founded by John V. Crothers in 1980, a natural health practitioner, who saw the need for correct training of people from all walks of life in the study of natural therapies. His general interest in holistic medicine has expanded to such a degree that there is a growing need for reliable and accurate instruction in natural therapies.
In 2007, the college was handed over to Mr. Angus Davidson, who also inspired and graduated in natural therapies and other qualifying courses under the training and professional teaching of the above mentioned learning institution, in Penrith and Blacktown Campuses, in the state of New South Wales.
My name is Julieta Gabriel, and I am the senior lecturer of The College of Nepean Natural Therapeutics since 1989. Like Mr. Davidson, I was also trained and graduated in natural therapies under the professional teaching of Mr. John V. Crothers. I have also other qualifying degrees and training in the nursing profession, and in the leisure and health industry. Our continuing education inspired by people in our community, who feel the need for reliable and accurate instruction in natural therapies, to be responsible for their own health and so decide to learn about holistic subjects, massage therapy and values of good nutrition that can be used as a career, profession and or in the home.
Our classes/courses are geared to people from all ages and all walks of life. The study of Anatomy and Physiology will help participants and other students understand the therapeutic effects to all systems of the body, and the concepts of life under holistic care and therapies. A training in remedial massage and other forms of natural therapies is the beginning of new concepts of life, health and vitality as a holistic practitioner or as a more knowledgeable and aware person.
Our college offers several different part-time courses, Diploma and Certificate, one day and two days workshop, and awarding participants a certificate of attendance. A Diploma and or Certificate is awarded on succesful completion of all requirements of the college. Materials required by students such as textbooks, massage oils, massage tables and covers, towels and other clinical equipments are available for purchase at the college.
