Naturopathy is a holistic treatment, which encompasses preventing and treating dis-ease. Naturopathy aims to educate and empower the individual to ensure optimal health through lifestyle changes along with supporting the body towards self-healing.
The initial consultation with Elizabeth may take up to an hour and a half during which a thorough case history is taken. The case history takes into account diet and lifestyle of the patient and includes a system–by-system review of the body. Elizabeth uses iridology, tongue and nail analysis as assisting tools in her case taking. Elizabeth may prescribe a range of supplements including herbs, and nutritional supplements, along with offering dietary and lifestyle advice.

Homeopathy
Homeopathy (developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann) is a holistic treatment based on the principle of “like cures like.” This means a substance that produces symptoms in a healthy individual can be used to treat similar symptoms in an unwell individual. Homeopathy is an effective treatment as every case is individualized, whereby no two people with the same condition have the same symptoms. Therefore, a medicine is prescribed according to your totality of symptoms.
Examples of how Homeopathy works:
1. Coffee can be very stimulating and in some may cause sleep deprivation. However, Homeopathically it can be used to treat insomnia.
2. Cutting raw onions causes most people’s eye to water. However, Homeopathically it can treat hayfever, which to some may cause watery eyes.

Bowen Therapy
Bowen therapy is a safe, gentle, yet powerful technique involving light pressure, non-invasive movements over muscles and connective tissue. Bowen therapy addresses the entire body and can be used to treat acute and chronic injuries/ailments. During the treatment there are several pauses after each set of moves, which allows the body to begin the healing response. The Bowen technique helps relieve neck, back, knee and ankle problems, shoulder restrictions, jaw problems, sporting injuries, sciatica and general aches and pains as well as pregnancy. Less obvious problems such as asthma and hayfever, lymphatic drainage problems, constipation and menstrual problems will also benefit from Bowen Therapy.
