Sharon offers the Food Detective™ IgG antibody test in her clinic and provides diet advice, recipes, supplements and an alternative food product range, making it easier for you to adapt your diet for better health.

Food Detective™ is a blood test for food antibodies (known as IgG). A small blood sample is taken from a finger prick which is then diluted and screened for the presence of IgGs, revealing the specific foods you have intolerance to. Results for 56 different types of foods are available within 40 minutes.

Food intolerance may not be immediately life-threatening but the impact on your physical and psychological health can be huge. As well as having the physical symptoms to deal with, people with food intolerance often feel tired all the time and can’t think clearly. Because the link between symptoms and food has been difficult to establish, many people suffer from food intolerance for years. Taking the Food Detective™ test can put an end to a lifelong story of health problems.

Treating Food Intolerance

Having a food intolerance doesn’t always mean permanent changes in what you can eat. Treatment begins with removing the identified food(s) from your diet. Sharon will prescribe herbal medicines and/or supplements that will treat the food intolerance side effects and allow your body to heal and recover. The food(s) can then be reintroduced within three to six months, with symptoms being monitored during follow up consultations.

Food Intolerance testing costs $195.00 and is available during your initial consultation with Sharon.

Consultations

Your consultation with Sharon gives you the opportunity to explore every aspect of your health to create a complete health profile and practical goals for how you can improve it. Starting with why you’re concerned about your health, Sharon will take you through a comprehensive health audit, including your family history, lifestyle and diet. You’ll take a range of simple tests to look at hormone, vitamin and mineral levels in your body.

In creating and discussing your treatment plan, Sharon will talk with you about making changes to your diet and lifestyle as well as providing recommended herbal medicines and vitamin and mineral supplements.
The 1.5 hour initial consultation costs $110. You may be able to claim a contribution from your Health Fund if they cover Naturopathic treatment.

As your health improves, your treatment plan will change. Follow up consultations with Sharon will keep you moving towards your health goals with changes to your herbal, vitamin and mineral program and diet.
Follow up consultations cost $65 and usually take about half an hour.

Sharon trained in Naturopathy at the prestigious Nature Care College. She is a member of the National Herbalists Association of Australia (153910) and holds the following qualifications:
