About your Naturopath - Lisa Freebury

"A strong family history of using Herbal and Alternative Medicine, along with witnessing and experiencing the benefits of these, lead me to become a Naturopath.

As a practitioner, I believe in the importance of an integrative approach to treatment - combining the use of traditional naturopathic diagnostic tools with pathology testing, whilst incorporating the latest research findings. Herbal medicine, both traditional and evidence based, nutritional supplements and flower essences, along with dietary and lifestyle advice will be used to tailor your individual treatment plan.

I treat a wide range of health conditions including gastrointestinal problems, endocrine disorders, male and female reproductive issues, immune problems and cardiovascular conditions; and I have a keen interest in helping clients to manage stress, anxiety and insomnia, along with resultant health problems which can stem from these conditions.

I am committed to providing an empathetic and supportive consultation environment, where you feel your health concerns have been heard and addressed and I aim to work with you on your journey to reach and maintain optimum health.

I currently hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) and a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional Medicine). I am a firm advocate of life-long learning and regularly attend seminars and workshops to ensure that I am up to date with the latest research findings and products available."

What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy dates back to 400BC, when naturopathic principles were taught by Hippocrates, the Father of western Medicine. It is a system of health care that has evolved from centuries of traditional medicines.

Modern naturopathy uses traditional and scientifically proven methods to improve health and vitality by promoting the innate ability of your body to heal itself. This blending of best traditional knowledge and modern scientific research allows the practitioner to make safer and more efficacious treatment choices while still honouring the wisdom of traditional naturopathy.

Naturopathy is a holistic approach to wellness which uses the healing power of nature to promote total well being of the body, mind and spirit.
