Morning Guided Meditation Groups for Women
“How you step into your day, the consciousness and intent that you put into it, can make all the difference in how your day unfolds and what you create; what you draw to you and what you keep away”.
In the style of Caroline Myss and Louise Hay, the underlying premise of these guided meditations is that we have access to greater intuition and knowing when our bodies and minds are still and calmed and the fearful chatter about ourselves and our day has quietened. These groups are designed with the intent of grounding us into our bodies, prepared to meet the challenges of the day with an increasingly positive, grateful and abundant perspective. These 45 minute groups start at 8am on a Wednesday morning, commencing late June and cost $15. Bring a journal and a pen. Numbers are strictly limited so please register.
Women & Body Groups
The Women and Body groups, formerly called Body-Full, are now called Em-Body-Ment. This new name reflects their addressing themselves to the seemingly epidemic condition of women having difficulty feeling and being aware of their bodies from the inside out.
This condition has implications for our attachments and groundedness. It makes it difficult to objectively see ourselves as others see us. It makes it difficult to feel safe or connected to the world or other people. It makes it difficult to know what we feel generally, giving rise to a variety challenging states; a chronic feeling of emptiness and melancholy; anxiety and panic. Lack of awareness of our senses robs us off our sensuality, freedom and creativity. These 90 minute, 7 week groups will take place on a weeknight to be determined, from 5.30 to 7pm. The cost is $500 and you may be eligible for up to %40 back if you qualify for the Medicare group rebate.
Mother Hood Groups
Most groups and books addressing themselves to the topic of of post natal depression and the various faces it takes, come from the perspective that this problem is an abnormal reaction which needs correcting.
Mother Hood, however, takes a wider view; that the experience of becoming a mother is a rite of passage that requires a totally different way of thinking about ourselves and being in the world; it requires a paradigm shift and using a different skill set than the ones which have been more or less successful in the world and our lives up to this point.
Attempting to do the motherhood journey using our old skill set will be a disconnected experience (at best) and a traumatic experience (at worst), with most of us falling somewhere in between. Mother Hood groups are designed to encourage the acquisition of a wider, more useful set of skills which, in the process, transforms our relationship to our baby, our selves and the world. This unique and innovative approach brings about lasting, deep change, bringing us home to our personal power, confidence and creativity.
These 90 minute, 7 week groups will take place on a weekday to be determined, from 2.00 to 3.30. The cost is $500 and you may be eligible for up to %40 back if you qualify for the Medicare group rebate.
Dream Analysis Groups
Held on a Tuesday evening, commencing late June, these 1 hour groups develop techniques for understanding and working with our dreams and then incorporating their insights into our daily lives. Dreams will be invariably attempting to get us unstuck and unblocked. They are like "a letter from home" Clarissa Pinkola Estes . Cost $20. Numbers are strictly limited so please pre-register. Bring your dream journal and a pen.
