SERVICES

Welcome to NordicHealth

If you are interested in promoting and maintaining good health and wellbeing, be free of pain and feel less stress and more energetic and wanting to do so a natural and non-harming way. Then the philosophy and practice of massage therapy and naturopathy would benefit you.

So what is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is the philosophy and practice to reach optimal health in a natural and non-harming way through good nutrition and lifestyle choices and sometimes with the use of herbal medicine and supplements.

The benefits from a Naturopathic Consultation are endless. It is about choice, education and taking responsibility for your health. Whether that means you want to maximize your chances of living a healthy life and prevent illnesses or you need to treat a specific condition naturally or want to know anything about good nutrition and eating habits, a naturopathic approach can help you.

What can I expect in a Naturopathic Consultation?

In your first naturopathic consultation I will take a thorough history of your general health and your presenting symptoms. We look at your dietary and lifestyle habits and anything else you might experience at the moment. Together with this information and iridology (looking into your irises) I will have a better understanding of what causes your symptoms/condition. The treatment plan we do together so it is something you can and want to do. The treatment plan can include herbal medicine or herbal teas, using food as medicine, some dietary and lifestyle changes and supplement with vitamins and minerals.

Follow up consultation are important so you can progress the way you want. Follow up sessions are in general 30 minutes long. Some examples of health problems (not exclusive) helped being resolved by me are: women’s health, PMT, menopause, pre conception care, infertility, digestive problems, lethargy, chronic fatigue, stress, mild depression, anxiety, insomnia, immune related problems like colds, influenza, tonsillitis, autoimmune problems like arthritis and allergies, weight problems, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, a range of children's health issues such as colds, flues, tonsillitis, ear infections, glue ear, no appetite, fuzzy eaters, stomach problems, allergies, sensitivities.

Naturopathy is suitable for all ages.

Massage

Techniques used include

Remedial, Deep tissue, Sports, Swedish and Trigger Point therapy

The aim of my massage is to relieve your muscle tension and spasm to increase movement, decrease discomfort and pain as well as relaxing the body and mind. Massage is healing and rejuvenating, it increases circulation and detoxifies the body. Regular massage boosts your immune system and reduces stress. All of which will help you remain in good health.

Remedial and deep tissue massage gives you the freedom to continue to play your sport, do your exercise and move around without restriction or pain that can be experienced with tight and tense muscles. It gives you a faster recovery after exercise and less soreness in muscles with an increased range of movement.

Work and busy lifestyles can sometime be very stressful. Sustained stress on the body has a negative effect on our health in many ways, both physically and mentally. Stress on the body can lead to tense and tight muscles, which in turn can cause headache, back, neck and shoulder pain. The benefit of remedial massage will not only loosen up your tight muscles but also directly reduce stress.

After a Massage treatment you will feel more mobile, less tens and tight with a relaxed body and mind.
